Audio / Town theme & request

OK.. first off, I posted a song a while ago, (http://www.zfgc.com/forum/index.php?topic=9616.0) and as you'll notice if you follow the link, the file is broken. I no longer have it on my computer either. If anybody saved it for some reason and still has it, please e-mail it to me. I can always remake it but obviously that'd be a hassle - besides that, I can't remember the entire composition anymore.

Secondly, I do have some actual new material for the same project that was for. It's another town theme, or possibly a ranch or farm or some similar location.. something country-ish. Here it is:

Feedback / Increase PI size

With the increased text size for usernames, we certainly have enough space, and 20x20 isn't enough to really store more than primitive information. I'm fairly certain the previous size was 24x24, which is only a 1/5th increase, and actually does add a fair amount of possibilities as to what can be put in.

I'm normally not into hip-hop at all, but I've got Graudation, Kanye West's new record, on repeat in my CD player. It's really good. I'm going to have to go back and listen to his other records.

Other Discussion / Does anyone know..?

I've got a download running on Firefox. It's about 1.5 gigs, so it's going to take a while, but it's 60% finished, so I don't want to cancel it. The problem is I'm downloading it onto an external drive that requires a power source. I want to move my computer to a different room (it's a laptop) - if I pause the download in Firefox, will I be able to unplug the drive and move it and the computer, then just plug it back in and resume without screwing everything up?

Bad enough that your $500k "flying tennis shoe" gets nailed, and now you're looking at thousands of dollars in repair work and increased insurance rates? Nope. The very next thing you have to worry about is how your going to survive the 6 mile fall back to earth! And if, by chance, you happen to pull on the ejection lever and it actually works, and you float gently back to earth, your car is going to be completely toast.

Hey, maybe ditsy blonde teenage cellphone junkies know how to make toast after all!

Hopefully we can concentrate on safer, more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly means of transportation before we go poking our heads around the clouds, looking for buildings to crash into.

At first I though this was a bit embarrassing, but then, well, Dayjo's Zelda rap is embarrassing. An d this song is growing on me. I was just screwing around in our living room, improvising nothing in particular, and my sister picked up this movie Matilda-something, so I started singing this thing. It didn't suck so I recorded it.

ZFGC Character Competition 2007 / Why didn't..

you vote for Cedris? (although I know some 14 did)

I got really really few comments on Cedris (read: one), and I think a lot of the people who voted for him did so just because they didn't like Cirru. This isn't a complaint thread - I was happy to get votes at all - I just wanted to know what you guys think makes a better character.

Two reasons I suspect are just that the story was way too long at first and the text was also big, so the presentation wasnt great, and that I made some references in the story that people didn't get.

So, I hope I can come up with something better next year.

Feedback / Zora theme

The new Zora theme pales in comparison to the old IF one.. the color set is just no contest. The new one is too constant in each element, and too overwhelming. The older one, as I recall, had more green, less saturation, lower brightness.. it was far, far better. If anyone has a screen or something of the original Zora theme.. I'd even redo the theme images from this to match, or something.

Most of you probably know something about de Blob, it was unveiled at this year's E3, it's a puzzle-ish, somewhat Katamari-esque game for Wii and NDS. (http://wii.ign.com/objects/947/947046.html)

But the original game was developed by students at Utrecht University for the PC, and you can download it free, and it's really good.

I wasn't gonna post this because I think nobody listens to what I listen to here, but are any of you into The Replacements? I heard Let It Be ages ago, and got it recently, and I really love it. I also got tim and am waiting for Pleased to Meet Me, but Let It Be has got most of my attention.
