You guys have been asking, so we're delivering!  Ash is a fancy-pants and created us a nice little Trello board to keep track of priorities.  It's still being populated, but here's the link:

https://trello.com/b/JyP6P2Et/zfgc-kot

Priority indication:
purple: blocker
pink: critical
red: high priority
orange: middle priority
green: low priority

Cool! This will help a lot!
I think that the goron village design is good to go. I am working on the cave systems of the village which are pretty straight forward.

So how is this thing read as a priority list? The middle column is what we are currently working on, but does that imply finishing it is a priority? What do the colors mean? Once the middle column is finished off and moved to the complete column, we start of things from the backlog column?

Spritonic, as far as Goron village, I'd like to hold off until we can do a couple more designs, I think it could still be a bit better. I at least want to try a couple other things. I'll try and work on the Kokori forest/village ruins today so that can get finished. Feel free to do some town interiors in the mean time? ; )

So far the only priorities are locations? I'm guessing entities like creatures and Link animations will come later?

I was talking to my friend last night, and he was mentioning about how in 1980, he thought the internet would become this amazing place where people from across the world would share ideas. I was telling him about how this project [KOT] has worked, lurching along for years and drawn by different people from across the globe, and he thought it was beautiful. And he was right, it's awesome. :D

So how is this thing read as a priority list?

Are you guys able to click the items on the menu and see the label meanings?  I'll put a breakdown in the first post just in case.

EDIT: Yea, you can see the label meaning.  Click the item on the list and it will become apparent.

Building the list out, we can discuss what else should be added.

Haha, my bad. I just didn't notice when I clicked on it.

If we're opening the discussion as to what can be added now- I'd like to put some priority on sidequests/bonus content, as well as NPCs. The NPCs inform design for the villages to some extent, and the side quests/bonus content inform the area design in terms of "add secret caves" and stuff- it's also much better to design initially something like "there is an arena for you to fight the Helmaroc for the Roc's Cape" than to tack it on at the end.

Also, content like bonus quests and NPCs can be developed/critiqued faster, since it's just words/ideas and we don't need to create any real content for them.

Sure, we can do that.  Is there anything specifically you'd like to tackle?  I would suggest sprites for the Link's gang to be on there somewhere.

Primary characters should be first, right?

Priority typically works top-down, so the tasks that are up top are higher priority than the ones lower.

This.  I've ordered the highest priority tasks at the top of the list

I've added the gang members to the to do list.  If anyone disagrees with the priority and thinks something should take precedence, please say so! :)

Yes! I'm working on the Goron Mountain layout today because that's at the top and is a blocker, which is, I assume, the highest priority? And I'll move onto interiors after that.

Also, something to figure out where it lies in priority: dialogue? We've got like 30 NPCs in Hyrule town, so someone or people will have to write their dialogue, and presumably what they say will change based on where you are in the game (so, world's current events), if you've done any sidequests related to them, probably time of day, etc. I figure the best way to organize that would be a bombers notebook of sorts for us to use. Each entry would have who it's about, then their dialogues and what triggers each dialogue. It'd also be a good place to keep track of where the NPCs who move around go.

But yeah, dialogue should be written at some point. And I like the priority list.

Lorentz Chronon found us a volunteer for that when the time comes :)
