Basically, Hanabi festival's a Japanese celebration that involves firework, which is what Hanabi means- or literally Fire FLOWER. Now you know where that name comes from!
But more importantly, a variety of games previously unreleased in Europe are going to be available on VC because of it- and are marked with a firework symbol next to them. I got Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels- and my !@#$% god it's hard! It's the hardest game I've played in a long time, and proves games aren't getting easier because we're getting older!
It also says it may not be the last Hanabi Festival- obviously it's gonna be an annual thing. There's more special games available as well- but only until 28th September. So hurry!
Kyubi: King of finding awesome stuff on VC.
I don't know about America, though...

The lost levels is a pretty weird game, I've beaten the original on the SNES. You get to the end of world 8, then you get worlds with letters, like World A. It goes to D or F or something like that until you get the real ending. :P No idea what the plot was though...

Kyubi that's not real awesome. I beat the game on the SNES. And all the secret worlds. After you beat World 8 you get to go to World 9. After that there is A, B, C, D, E, and F. :P

What you played was the Super Mario All-Stars form of it, which is still modified.
In this version you have to complete it 8 times to unlock stages A, B, C, and D.
So actually, it is awesome because this is probably the only way it. (aside from emulators) And we never even got All Stars, I don't think.

I feel compelled to download The Lost Levels now because it's only going to be on the Euro/Aust Wii Shop Channel until September 30... which sucks, IMO.
I'm more excited for Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Earth. It's been confirmed that it'll hit the Euro/Aust Wii Shop Channel on September 28 :D. It hasn't been confirmed for the Americas, though.

I'm so jealous of you Euro guys. :'(
Figured you'd like to be the ones to hear that for a change.

I know right... u_u They got Metroid Prime Hunters like... what, the other (figuratively) day? When America had it for a like 2 years now? Its good to see Europe get a head-start on us... even if we're jealous of them now...
