Title: Allegro: Who here knows it?
Post by: /M/ on June 15, 2006, 01:36:18 pm
I've seen many programmers in this site, so I'm sure somebody knows Allegro.  So the question is, does anyone here know Allegro programming language?

If so, please reply.

Allegro is not a programming language, it is a library of functions to interface with C/C++. The best IDE to use with it IMHO is DevC++ (http://www.bloodshed.net/devcpp.html) but some like DJGPP (http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/).

If you need tutorials, you can find them at the main site:

Yeh TRM is right, anyway I'm fairly accustomed to it, though I advise you use something faster and more capable like OpenGL.

1. I'm aware of that site already.

2. I never said I'm interested in learning allegro. <.<

Anyways, the reason I need somebody that knows Allegro, is so they can (please?) edit this allegro file from a Game Making program. (ZC)

If you mean edit Zelda Creator (which I beleive is .EXE) then that would be hard and very wrong.

edit "Zelda Classic", and it was made by Allegro, and it has all of its allegro files with the download. So, it can easily be edit.

Physically editing the damn thing would probably take forever, like any code you wont' know where anything is located, so er there could be a problem there.

I could do it, but it would take a long time.
