Thanks, so far I'm just working on windows and the like, and doing tests of monsters and whatnot. The cartoony character's gonna be a challenge for me, since I'm not great with animating humanoids.

I thought I'd just share it since I'm pretty happy with the results:

Specifically it's one of those skill windows for platform mmorpgs (me and a coder friend are working on it), though it probably won't be massive. It's fun spriting/vectoring these things though, so yeah.

The duplicate skill icons are just for mockup.

Aaand some monster tests. Some slimes + a slime boss (Slurge) from Wanderlust: Rebirth (permission granted awhile back from them):
The shines show up outside of them too since I exported them all.

That looks nice, but like others said, the resolution needs to be sorted out. I'm also wondering how smooth the engine is.

Besides that it looks like a decent start.

As for the whole SG thing, as fun as and as good as are pretty much the same thing. SG was good because it looked really fun.

Good luck.

Yerp, I had the final exams. Now to try to get something to work on o.o
We've had some small updates here and there to fit things to FSA, like the HUD, I worked on some icons awhile back:

I made the deku nut, stick, and slingshot, of course I'm not that great at pixel art so they'll mostly need some edits. The title also runs into the icons a bit, so just small things that need changing.

There's my update I guess o.o

Oh and btw, as I said, the green/blue/yellow buttons in that pic are old because we've fit them to FSA, and they look much better =P
And as another side note, the google ads are advertising zelda womens clothing.... I have no idea but yeah. o.O

I think the design of the first one is awesome, but like niek, she doesn't look that great o.o, especially in that one.. =/.

Great job nevertheless.

Thank you xf, for that er... compliment/insult.

Yeah, x said that we should keep updates here to a minimum, so yeah.

EDIT:
*ahem* xfixium is dah bestest team leader ever, and likes being nice to his subordinates. I was not coerced into saying this at all =DD

kk, so I need more relevance in my post so...
@Sinkin
I'm sure the original idea could've been from your game, or just that the style fits the windwaker menu

Spriting could be useful, we're deciding, gotta take a group vote I guess...

In other news, Xf has been redoing the menu, again back to wind waker style, but it's much much much better, really amazing stuff, I'm sure he'll post when he decides to =P

What confuses me is why there are no swords, and why link would go to such lengths to purchase a wood sword, when he could make one out of wood himself o.O

It just seems like such a stretch.

Nice job.
I'd suggest for the sprites, you create a model, and take screenshots of its animation, or just use the model itself, since it'll look much better, and I'm sure SSB actually uses models.

It is next to the exe, I never moved anything.

Take out the files? Like put every file you have in the resource folder and subfolders in there and put it in the same place as the exe?

I opened your exe and extracted, and ran it, and got the error when I pressed end after choosing my name, or trying to open one of your existing files.

And yeah, I mean the ok button, I'm not sure what your normal game control are, but I'd have preferred sometihng like Z or X, so I could select faster. Else I'm doing it all with my right hand.

Whenever I load a file (or when I tried to make one), I got this:
___________________________________________
ERROR in
action number 1
of Alarm Event for alarm 2
for object obj_Master_Control_Tile:

File is not opened for reading.

Nice menu though =P, I don't like how enter is select however.

When's the NCFC? If the previous one ended recently, we should have a decent amount of time.

Amazingly well-written review there, Hoff. I am very impressed. I got that nostalgic "I really want to play Mario 64" feeling after reading that!

And I actually get too!  I just picked this back up for my 64 on Thursday.  Amazing timing.  Too bad I have Assassins parkour 2 to play.

Great job hoffy, I have that urge to play again now =P.

Oh those are just ledges on the bottom floor. If the hole was there, and you could see down, it'd probably just be darker, it's not that complicated =P
