Face it: Character in the pokemon universe can't get to outer space, and nor can the Zeldaverse. Zeldaverse might not even KNOW there was a death star out there, waiting to kill them. And Sonic, well, he might stand a chance, having gone into space several times before. Doubtful though.
Sonic destroyed the Death Egg, which was the upgrade of the death star. an seeing as Mewtwo, Mew and Alakazams psychic powers are far cooler then force powers, Stars people seem pretty screwed.
Even so, pokemon arn't really intelligent or powerful enough to destroy a death star. Not to mention, everyone in the pokeverse is too nice and happy and all sunshine to kill a single person, and destroying a death star would surely kill at least one person.
