Yeah I got it. Already played it and finished it. But hey. A free game is a free game.
Too bad the Source engine gives me headaches.
I know right. Half Life 2 with the whole hoverboat thing did that to me.

All seven people who haven't played it will finally get their chance!
Unfortunately they all live high in the alps where they spend their days yodeling and kicking lawn mowers.

I like the stick man in their patent diagram very professional.

Ready for REACH?

hell no.

Gaylo is not my type of game, and I don't see what is so great about it after its like 5th game.

First of all, shut up. Second, stop acting like Halo is a milked franchise. It's really not, especially compared to most Nintendo franchises, and Final Fantasy.
...And Nintendo and Square-Enix franchises being milked have what to do with what he said? It's not like he used either of those as comparisons for franchises that weren't being milked.

Either I'll get SS on my M3 when my DS arrives or I'll buy it. Dunno if I want to spend another $70 though, so downloading it is looking good...

70$? I'm pretty sure SS/HG costs 45$ each. Either way, it's honestly worth the money. It's loaded with a lot of content.

AUD :P It's like 2x CAD
70 Australian dollars = 64.9771779 Canadian dollars So it's still way over priced it's like $39.99 here.

I got HG and currently I have 16 badges and I'm redesigning my team, formerly it was
Typhlosion
Ampharos
Aerodactyl
Starmie
Umbreon
Now so far I have
Zapdos
Houdoom (well, breeding houndours for good IVs right now)
Starmie
Aerodactyl

and ideas for last two anyone?

You could indeed do that

Refer to the diagram for Trig Ratios

So... as for their practical applications... If, in a game, you wanted to move in a specific direction with a specific speed (assuming that direction is on angle) you would have to move your character both with an x velocity and a y velocity. Both the x velocity and y velocity act as the two straight lines in the right angle triangle (opposite and adjacent) so if you knew that you wanted to move 3 units with an angle of 30 degrees you would have
H=3
θ=30

so sin 30° = O(the unknown)/3

so sin 30°(3) = O
and O will equal one of your two components required to move 3 units at 30 degrees (in this case 1.5 units)

do the same with cos to get the other component.

Not sure if this is clear at all, I'm not always so good at explaining things.

As you run out from your trench, your poorly made rifle jams and before you can see the enemy your are mowed down by a machine gun, on the off chance your still alive you will sit and bleed in the nearest mud puddle till you are run over by a lumbering slow moving tank, slowly crushing your body till it runs over something vital and you die.

Yep, sounds like a fantastic game :P

Gah... I'm playing it on the PC so I have to say the multiplayer sucks max is like 18 people on a map in a "ground war" whatever that's supposed to mean unless you use one of your perk slots you run slow, the graphics are getting more cartoony (don't misunderstand me I like cartoons but I'm supposed to be playing MW2 not Team Fortress 2) Aside from the tiny games as a result of the lack of dedicated servers, there alternative takes to long to find a host and then when it does half the time the lobby just closes. Seriously when any kind of online multiplayer match making ever been a good thing? I liked the single player mission, though I beat it really quickly the story had some interesting plot twists, I died a lot :P

I want a future war. Not as *futuristic* as Halo, but between that and modern day.
This for sure, but yeah something not sci-fi futurey more of a kind of look at what military technologies are currently in development or on the drawing board and then using those.

Entertainment / Re: PS2, Dreamcast games for download on PSN?
« on: September 23, 2009, 06:52:25 am »
Holy !@#$%, that'd be epic. It's like Nintendo's virtual console stuff, except with consoles that were actually good (note, some of the consoles on Virtual Console are good, I'm just generalizing)
Most of the consoles in virtual console were better than both the PS2 and Dreamcast combined besides with the dream cast you'd have a selection of what... 5 games? PS 2 maybe, but still I'd hardly say it's the deal of the century

Okay, so the whole Borealus thing. Half Life 2 e 3 will probably have the portal gun. The whole point of the borealus to begin with is that they have Aperture's portal technology alternative onboard -_-;; I dunno; not particularly looking forward to it.
Well it won't necessarily have the portal gun, after all the ship itself has portal technology and it seemed to me that from playing portal the portal gun was still in development at their lab so it seems more likely that the ship itself is a large scale portal device rather then that the portal gun itself is on onboard, just my two cents seeing as how the ship seems to teleport to different places.

EDIT: Oh and also I think the point of the last battle is that you don't have much ammo, your supposed to use the magnuson devices, but yeah gets a little old after all the striders.

The ammo's not for the striders :p it's for the hunters that shoot the magnuson devices off of the striders heads if you don't kill them first :P

Can't kill them with the devices :x they just disintegrate on contact.
Actually you can kill them with the magnuson device you have to time it right so your magnuson device hits the flack they shoot, otherwise yeah just run em over with the car.
