What, are you nit-picking? Look, it's just a rough idea for a basis for the others. Now please post if you're going to actually help me. No offense.

Ring of Fates (DS) and Crystal Bearers (Wii) hopefully will connect to each other via WiFi. That would be sweet.

I'm on. Interesting, we have no Russians. Or Africans. Interesting....

Well, I'm fairly sure English is NOT the main language in those places.

Not to mention that the economies in those places are dreadful, so there's gonna be a shortage of a) video game fans and b) people with computers AND internet access.

I understand Russia, but what about South Africa. And YIPPEE! WOOTies! My favorite! WOOHOO!
* dakirbymaster just used his last HOO and now only has WOO's.
Curses!

Awesome discussion. Read it all, and seriously, pics of dead babies? WTF? What kind of monster would post that &#@%? Good that an agreement was reached, but a good point was proven. Every year, half the forum's title becomes less and less important. Now I've finished 2 fan games, but have been unable to get them. An uncompleted fan game had to be stopped since my file was corrupted, but I have an EXE of the first world complete. A Zelda fan game I was making is incomplete but is good, even with voice acting. I believe in the concept of fan games, and z3 is helping that. The forum was originally designed around OoT2D and other fan games like it. But through ZFGC's many incarnations, the fan games' importance has slowly declined. We need to go back to the original ZFGC spirit, back to when fan games dominated the forum. I hope everyone here thinks I'm making some good points. Just keep this in mind: if the idea of fan games become lost forever, so will this forum. Its roots are based in them.

I agree with everyone else on this, but what about other themes (e.g. Kokiri, Zora, Goron, etc.)? Why won't those work?

Less is correct. It has been re-released 6 times: MSX 2(1989), Wonderswan Color (2000), PS1 (2003), GBA (2004), Mobile phones (2004), and PSP (2007). But this'll be awesome. Maybe it's because they did such a great job with FFIII DS, they're gonna use the same engine for IV and hopefully V and VI. They could do VII. Just make a DS Memory card to go in the GBA slot.

Other Zelda / [Solved] Custom Medallion Sprites
« on: May 16, 2007, 04:49:12 pm »
I would like custom medallion sprites for my Zelda game. 16x16 please.
Maybe just a silver one with the triforce for collection ones for floor symbols.
Blue or grayish for wind and dark brown for earth. The rest can be the same.

I'm going to use the icons from the medallions in OoT for each temple. However, I would like custom sprites for the Wind and Earth medallions. I'll ask in the Graphical Arts board. This confirms I'm using medallions.

I don't remember that one....how was it achieved?

I think it's in world 3-1, at the end. A Koopa is walking down the steps, and you jump on him at the bottom step and hopefully he bounces between the step to his right and your feet. The score doubles until you get 1-Ups. It stops at 128, though. Check this out for the lives:

SMB Lives Table w/Glitch

It's pretty weird.

It's idiots like this that give gaming a bad name. It's similiar to the dummies who play GTA then commit crimes and blame it on the game. Your fault, not the game's. In this case, if you got it used, your problem. You should've gotten it new. If you did get it new, then ground the daughter. She probably put it in there! Almost like the Wendy's human finger case that was just an elaborate get-rich-quick scheme. This could be the same thing. Seriously, though, Nintendo would never put that in the game. That line of text was user-inputted, thereby possibly her fault. If you're gonna sue someone over a game, learn about the game first! As for the daughter, this is what I think - :( . Her problem! This ends my rant.

How about the extra life trick in the original Super Mario Bros. It may not count as a glitch, but the number of lives you had was all glitched out.

STORY
Link needs to gather the pieces of the Triforce of Courage , or the 8 medallions (haven't decided yet). However, only four exist in his time. He needs to go to the Chronos Temple (AKA Temple of Time) after gathering those four in order to travel 100 yrs into the future to gather the recently excavated remaining 4 medallions/triforce shards in the previously unaccessible temples. Afterwards, he must defeat Ganon.

TEMPLES AND AREAS
Basically, the temples in the present are the Forest Temple, located in the Dorelado Forest; the Fire Temple, found at Rapymid Peak in the Ledosation Mountains; the Water Temple, at the bottom of Anookell Lake; and the Wind Temple, on the Floating Islands of Wonteregog. The future temples are the Shadow Temple in the town of Niquetett; the Earth Temple, found on the Teltob Plateau; the Spirit Temple found in the Solut Desert; and the Light Temple, in Alcomo Valley. Towns include Niquetett, Rabunu City, Clepraville, and Yelkes. The Chronos Temple is found in Bluestone Village(present)/Bluestone City(future).

FEATURES
-Time travel w/ Ocarina of Time
  -Global warming!
-In the future, the two bottom rows of the map are now completely submerged. However, this leads to the bonus "Hero's Cave" where you can get the Gold Ring, Master Sword, and Mirror Shield.
-Some places from the present are now dried out.
-Two complete overworld maps! With sub-areas!
-Bonus dungeons with extra items or endurance battles!

MISC.
Screenies as soon as I can work on it some more. But I'm using Zelda Classic v2.10, and a Gameboy Zelda tileset. I may upgrade to an LttP tileset sometime. Tell me what you think.

Sounds good. Can't wait.

Looks quite awesome! Can't wait for the full version!

NOTE: I'd play it, but A. I have no home computer, so I'm doing this at school; and B. My school bans the programs from opening.
