I thought he was a nice guy, but like everyone else said, he should've listened to the mods, but he didn't. Don't let him back.

This thing could still result in some sort of chaotic tragedy apocalypse explosion thing.

*sigh*

Could we, like, drop this whole "world's end" subject please? The world is NOT going to end. And I'm sure if the LHC explodes, it'll cause just as much force as the atomic bomb, which didn't end the world. But it will cause another huge disaster, which we don't need.

Solarrain4's information is correct.
and the other is plain old grade "A" HORSE TURDS with a side of HUMAN FECES!

A side of human feces? wtf.... err, I mean, Hey, someone actually realizes that I'm right! XD

I don't know if this article segment has been posted here yet, but if it hasn't, take a look at this article I read on LiveScience:

CERN spokesman and former research physicist James Gillies also pointed out that Earth is bathed with cosmic rays powerful enough to create black holes all the time, and the planet hasn't been destroyed yet.

I read a similar piece on Wikipedia.

That blog that said the world is going to end is complete bullsh*t. Get on with your lives, people.

EDIT: Referring to the fact that supernovas create black holes: Although black holes created by supernovas are huge, well, the supernovas are huge on their own. A particle collision creating a black hole just as powerful? Pfft. Yeah right.

Be serious... I have Asperger's syndrome (yes... that means I'm actually somewhat autistic :o), which means I can't catch on to certain things as easily, so I stupidly thought this was actually going to happen until I decided to go check some articles about it. I felt like I was about to faint, believe it or not.

Entertainment / My cousin's band just got signed to Epitaph Records...

I was going to the Epitaph page to check out Millencolin's artist page, when I found this...

OUR LAST NIGHT SIGNS WITH EPITAPH RECORDS

Epitaph Records is proud to announce the signing of New Hampshire based rock/hardcore/screamo group Our Last Night. Having just begun to make a name for themselves throughout the east coast, the group is planning to expand their horizons this spring with the release of their debut album on Epitaph.

Inspired by hardcore and metal, Our Last Night delivers an onslaught of taut thrashing riffs and intense hardcore breakdowns that meld got signed to a major record label such as Epitaph.perfectly with lush melodic landscapes and soaring, irresistibly catchy choruses. Sharp technical precision meets raw inspiration on songs like the addictive "Escape" which is currently streaming here.

Our Last Night, which consists of Trevor Wentworth (growls), Matt Wentworth (guitar, melodic vocals), Alex "Woody" Woodrow (bass), Colin Perry (guitar) and Tim Molloy (drums), was formed in 2004 by childhood friends who were fed up with merely jamming and playing cover songs. With only a few live performances under their belt, Our Last Night entered the studio shortly afterwards to record their first EP, We've Been Holding Back. Vigorous live performances helped the band earn respect and fans throughout the New England area and by 2005 they entered the studio to record their next EP, Building Cities From Scratch. In the summer of 2007, after being impressed by their self-made demos, owner and president of Epitaph Records, Brett Gurewitz, came calling and invited the band to join the label.

"From the very first note of the demo I was blown away by the sophistication of their writing and the technical playing which belies their young age," said Gurewitz. "Add to that the control and range of Matt's stellar singing voice and I was sold."

Currently meeting with producers and writing new songs, Our Last Night plans to debut their first full length album in spring of 2008. The group joins Epitaph's impressive roster which includes such hard-hitting bands as Gallows, Vanna, Parkway Drive and Escape The Fate.

Alex Woodrow is my cousin. Looks like I'm not going to see him that much anymore, but hey, he's gonna be famous! I feel like the happiest cousin alive right now ^_^

Anyway, if you're into hardcore/metal, listen to the song they have there ("Escape"). You'll like it for sure. ;)

Entertainment / Re: Who plays music here?
« on: August 18, 2007, 03:40:54 pm »
Guitar for 6 years. (Open-E tuning for 3, then I started learning standard tuning in '04 and have been playing that ever since)
Drums for 2 1/2 years.

I know how to play bass, but I don't own one.

My family has a really big musical background. For instance, my cousin's hardcore/screamo band Our Last Night was just recently signed to Epitaph Records. (That maybe was slightly off topic, but I had to say it)

Entertainment / Do you like to replay a game once beaten?
« on: August 09, 2007, 03:08:27 pm »
Title, I just wanted to know.

I like to replay them, a lot of games have a good replay value. I've beaten Minish Cap at least 6 times, for example.

But the thing is, in OoT, I can remember how to beat every dungeon up until the Water Temple, then I blank out >_<

I have no picture (not all the games are where I am right now), but this is what I know off the top of my head:

Nintendo 64
LoZ: Ocarina Of Time
LoZ: Majora's Mask
Mario Kart 64
Mario Party 2
Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2
Pokemon Stadium 2
Pokemon Snap
Starfox 64

Nintendo Gamecube (Note: Half of these are scratched beyond playability due to my two youngest brothers always getting ahold of them)
LoZ: Twilight Princess
LoZ: Wind Waker
LoZ Collector's Disc (We didn't get it with the promotion they had. We bought it used at EB :P )
LoZ: Ocarina Of Time/Master Quest (Again, didn't get it with a pre-order of Wind Waker. Bought it used)
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Starfox Adventures
Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut
Sonic Mega Collection
Spyro: Enter The Dragonfly (Is that the right title? I forget)

Sega Genesis
Sonic The Hedgehog 1-3
Sonic & Knuckles
Sonic 3D Blast
Sonic Spinball
Battletoads: Double Dragon
Mickey Mania

I would list PS2 here, but it's my brother's, so technically, none of the PS2 games are mine :P

Entertainment / Re: Which Gaming System Should I Buy?
« on: August 04, 2007, 02:22:38 pm »
I think you should get a Wii, but other than that, it's your choice entirely. To make the choice easier, maybe you could look at the details of each one, and choose which one would suit you best. Maybe if you're really physically active, the Wii's motion-sensing controller would be nice for you. Or if you like button controllers, get one of the other systems.

I don't have one myself (I voted for it because I've played it before and loved it). My parents won't let me get one. Heck, my mom doesn't even know that if we get one, we can trade in the GameCube and still be able to play all our GameCube games. But no, "we just have too many systems." Meh...

This is amazing, I must say. It's probably the best piece I've ever heard.

Well done!

I prefer Millencolin. They don't sing in Swedish, but they're from Sweden, so does that count?

Entertainment / Which album's release are you looking forward to?
« on: July 15, 2007, 08:44:20 pm »
Title. There seem to be a bunch of albums coming out lately that seem very promising.

The one I'm looking forward to is coming out in two days. Yellowcard - "Paper Walls." I listened to several songs from it that they had on their MySpace, including the first single "Light Up The Sky", and it's definitely going to be the best Yellowcard album ever.

I've used both Windows and Macs, and I have to say Windows. But don't get me wrong, Macs are pretty cool. I'd probably like to own one.

Amazing censorship, lol.

Anyway, what a fine character you've created. This one has my vote for sure.

Zelda Projects / Re: Rupee/USD Currency Converter
« on: July 11, 2007, 07:54:04 pm »
So this means that the TASCAM US-122 USB recording interface that I bought a year ago really cost me 450 Rupees. And if I were to get a Wii, it would cost me 750 Rupees.
