Ubisoft has revealed some of the problems it is facing to make Assassin's parkour as good on the PlayStation 3 as it is on the Xbox 360.

Patrice Desilets, the creative director of Assassin's parkour, revealed that with the Xbox 360 version the problem is the storage medium. Desilets told Pro-G in an interview that one of the biggest challenges the team is currently facing with the Xbox 360 version of the game is fitting everything into a DVD-9 disc; something that is not a problem with the Blu-ray Disc format used by the PlayStation 3.

However, the PlayStation 3 version of Assassin's parkour is experiencing different issues because of the platform's memory architecture, which-- contrary to the Xbox 360, is not unified but split into 256 MB of main memory and 256 MB of video memory.

Desilets added: "Both have their own challenges. Right now we have a big challenge on the 360 to make it fit on a DVD, to put five languages, to put all the data on eight gigs. On the Blu-ray side we're really good, but then the memory is quite different. How we handle memory is really different between the two machines and we're struggling right now on the PS3. But we have people who are really dedicated and we're having help from Microsoft on one side and Sony on the other side to have the same quality on both systems. It really depends on the week basically as to who's best."

Now see, here's what I don't understand; how come Valve can fit Half Life 2, Half Life 2 episode 1 and Half Life 2 episode 2 and Portal and Team Fortress 2 onto a single 360 disk, but Ubisoft can't fit Assassin's parkour on a 360 disk? I'm starting to wonder if Ubisoft is even a competent game developer anymore. I've watched recent previews of Assassins parkour and it's still as buggy as it's always been. Alot of their games are buggy.

Ever since I got my 360, the Wii has been completely pushed out of my mind. It really is a gimmick. the 360's where it's at.

Yeah, it's a bug for sure. Normally, even if you grab and move around a loaf of bread that isn't yours, they'd beat you to a bloody pulp.

I got grounded from my xbocks. I'll be having it back in about a week. Long story, don't ask why I got grounded. Anyways, also, I changed my name from ROFLBOCKS to The Baconballs. In case you didn't get the memo.

Something you should know: USB is not meant for capturing video. Instead, get an AV card. Your processor has to be reasonably fast to do this; I find that my dual-core works wonders for all my video editing needs.

A capture card for recording off my TV screen; like Xbox 360 gameplay. Not for my PC. Silly Knivu. >:P

Well, looks cool to me ::) I don't know why some of you guys think it will be bad..

It does look cool, kinda crappy though. It can be vastly improved, but given what it is for being a cancelled project, they had somethin going here. If only Matt would have driven the Warthog.

Aren't there any capture cards that have open USB ports on the back, so that I could buy a long USB cord (do they make those?) and use that sintead of the one it comes packaged with.

I'm looking for something around or under 150 US dollars that captures good quality image and audio.

Also, it needs to have a long USB cable (about 40 - 50 feet) so I can run it from my PC to my 360. If it doesn't come with a cable that long, could I possible buy one like that? If so, where?

It's cool because it's on a CONSOLE. It's not common to have map editors on console games as in depth as forge. Now that's not saying it's revolutionary, but because millions of people play Halo 3, it opens up tons of new possibilites and it's fun to create, share and download maps.

Entertainment / Re: Just beat Halo 3. (SPOILER)

SPOILERS

If you watched past the credits, it's revealed that the Portal closed as half of the ship went through it, thus, the Arbiter, who was driving at the front of the ship, got out safely, and Chief and Cortana, who were in the storage hull, didn't make it through the portal. It closed on the ship, cutting it in half. I don't think this is going to lead into the Marathon games. There's gonna be a Halo 4. They'd be dumb to kill the series after 3 games, having made so much money from it. MC is too cool of a character to just die.

It's a gif of this guy frantically/dramatically moving his arms and stuff, and there's subtitles that reveal he's teaching about proper swimming techniques. Anyone have it?
