A new legendary, Victini!

And thank God it doesn't look like a robot of some sort. :)

Thank God! It looks small, weak, AND generic! How the hell is that thing a legendary? !@#$%'s gay, third generation was pushing it but I'll let them pass. Fourth generation was awful, and fifth generation too so far.

Oh man I remember playing Jazz Jackrabbit quite a long time ago. There was also some cool sidescrolling wizard game from that same era. No idea what it was called. The main character had a long nose though... Damn.

What are some good computer games (new or old) (cheap or free) that I can waste a lot of time on and get really into them? My 360 stopped reading discs so I've been out of gaming for a while.

Luckily I can still play downloaded games, meaning I've recently logged countless hours in Geometry Wars, Pacifism mode (high-score is 81,000,000 mother fuckers). Just recently got bored of it after I topped all my friend's scores, the highest of which was 62,000,000.

That's looking very nice so far Zaneeb. I'm digging the art style in comparison with most fangames that just use Nintendo's sprites. It's different, which is always a good thing.

Entertainment / Deadmau5 is a pretty cool guy
« on: July 20, 2010, 07:05:51 pm »
Deadmau5 is a techno artist that isn't just good for a cool looking avatar (Though I hear he specializes in that too), he also makes cool techno songs. I've only really gave a listen to Ghosts N Stuff and 8-bit, both of which are very good songs. Anyone else familiar with Deadmau5, or similar techno artists? I find his stuff a lot different than Daft Punk, the only other techno band I've really listened to (I'm still new to exploring the genre obviously). I also like his stuff a lot more than Daft.

Introduction topics should go in Community Speak
Sprites, animation or other graphical elements should go in Graphics
Fangame ideas should go in Concepts

Also, if you ever have specific coding needs, you don't need to be familiar with anyone in the game-making community. We're all friendly here, and anyone who knows how to answer your question will. If you have a specific coding question you should post it in the Resources, Discussion forum. I have no idea how to code, but a lot of the other members here do.

Good luck with any gamemaking in the future, I suggest taking on small and not so ambitious projects for a while until you have some skill built up. Then if you still want to make a fangame you can be a little more ambitious, or by then you might want to just make your own not-fangame game. Also welcome to the forums :)

If you had meant that kind of stick that would probably be a lot better and more original game.. Stick figures are lame.

What's the song in that first video? Game looks really good too by the way. For some reason I'm attracted to old-school first person shooters a lot. <3

Sometimes I wish I lived in a world where I too could enslave ridiculously pointy animals and pit them against each other in battle... legally.  :-*

What's wrong with your apostrophes when you type?

Oh, and the game is looking good.

I honestly think they'd do a better job than Nintendo at this point. I don't really like what I'm seeing of Skyward Sword so far, and I did enjoy Ico and Shadow of the Collosus very much and always thought a Zelda game with that same sense of darkness would be neat.

I'm no hard-core Nintendo ra-ra-ra kind of guy. ::)

EDIT: Oh and !@#$% all of you. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_Ico

Echidna was so on topic! Because you mentioned Mammy had multiple dicks after he said that Mario Party (which is related to Nintendo as is the Skyward Sword which this topic is about) could suck his casual DICK.

Back on topic (sort of), I want the team behind Ico to make the next Zelda. I feel like they'd do a really good job with it.

Zelda doesn't need to break the patterns that make it "zelda". That's like taking exploration out of Metroid, or removing platforming from Mario. It would ruin it.
There's a whole slew of non-platforming Mario games already. XD

:P and I stand by my statement that it would ruin it XD

I seriously hate the Paper Mario series :x save Super Paper Mario, which was pretty fun (and platformery)
Don't forget about all the multiplayer Mario games too. XD

>;o Mario Party can suck my casual DICK
Casual DICK? You say that like you have other dicks as well! :P

Mammy is an echidna

Those are great models, but you should consider lowering the poly-count. They will still look great, really. Keep it up

Right the original Fallout games were a lot more creative and witty... But Fallout 3 was more fun gameplay by far. Only it'd be impossible in an MMO because the entire online community won't stop for you to decide what part of the enemy you want to shoot at :P

So there probably won't be VATs.

I always saw those differences as the way you suggested in that last paragraph. Especially about the bubbly feel to the community compared to the emptyness of the first game. More towns, factions, etc were starting to build up. Factions that are surely going to be even bigger and more important in New Vegas, since it's that same area as the first two. West Coast, that is.

Motion control on the 3DS? This can only mean one thing...
