Always getting excited for a new Zelda game. Though, I was looking through some sites to pre-order and one site predicted a 22 November release. Guess we have to wait and see :P

Another wip, it's based of Bungie's new game "Destiny". It's a Guardian who is desperately fighting for his life against a Fallen, it's a very rough piece, but I'm starting to get everything at place!

Sooooooooooooo, this is a logo for my future "game developing company". Ignore the text below for now, I'm gonna make my own font later on but I want some of your thoughts about the logo!

Usually when I draw characters, tools, weapons and etc. I start with doing silhouettes, just doodling with a thick brush to get a shape to work with. When I find a shape I like, I start to "block" out highlights and such so I can tell what is what. Then I just start to play around with the design, looking at references and such.

If you wanna paint environments, it's basically the same method though I make a really quick sketch on how it should look, then I take the lasso tool and draw some shapes, filling those with different color values depending on how far away and how close the objects are (darker colors for those which are closer and lighter for those further away), It all depends on perspective.

Using different brushes is one way to make the things you draw look better, but brushes doesn't make an individual better at drawing in general :)

Thanks for the kind words, Malon! This thread is keeping my motivation at top, so I began on a new piece today, testing a new style and different techniques. It's a very early wip, but I guess you guys can see what it's heading :)

Some "new" art to rest your eyes at. I had to size it down, cause the original size is over 2000px in both height and width :P

Feedback / Re: ZFGC...what do you love?

Actually Kami, you know what I would find cool? Starting a ZFGC art blog with weekly themes or themes every two weeks. We could vote in a theme, do something for it (whether it's a sketch or a full out awesome pic doesn't matter) and submit it in a thread with the theme name. Would you guys like that?
^That, would actually be awesome. I really love art, but when I start to draw something I lack motivation to actually finish the piece I started, but this whole "weekly theme thingy" could work as a motivation for me :P

I like it, but he definitely needs a bit more detail below the head to give him more personality, imo. Maybe gloves and/or a circuit board style pattern on his chest (he's a robot, right?).

Anyway, I always thought of you as a good pixel artist, and it's good to see more stuff from you than just the few sprites I've seen in the past. As for me, I'm really getting into character design and 3D modeling (all my efforts were put on hold for a couple months though, due to a work-related accident), so I'll probably have my own art/model thread going in a bit.

I look forward to seeing more art from you, Sinkin. :)
The circuit board idea on his belly is a cute one :3. He reminds me slightly of Fez, but just slightly.
Yeah, he's a robot! And the circuit pattern was not a bad idea, I'll play around with the design a bit more c:

Wooopeti, another art thread here at ZFGC. Star and Kami are the responsible ones for motivating me to do this, but it's a motivation that I need to get things done when it comes to drawing XD

Anyways, first piece of art is for a upcoming indie game I'm developing. This is the main character of the game, I'm quite satisfied on how it turned out, buuuut this might not be the final design of the little guy :)

Nice design, it will fit KoT perfectly!

This makes me wanna start my own art thread now...

I did a quick cleanup on the deku stick. All I did was giving it a complete black outline, fixed some jaggies and gave it a less messier shade. Hope you like it :)

Uh, did some changes to it, and ended up with two different versions.
Also; improved palette, and changed some colors to my likings.

Looks good, Gonken ;)
Good palette, but I think it got a bit too messy around the eye with two different colors, the mouth was also a bit hard to read. Just fixed some minor things on it!

This is the final edit from me, fixed the blobs and the swirls. I hope you get the point of my edits, Malefor.
