LTTP & FSA / [Solved] Hyrule Castle
« on: May 01, 2010, 05:55:27 am »
Okay, I don't actualy want to use this, but I'm trying to remap a castle in my game and I'd be glad if I can look at the FSA Hyrule Castle for Inpirations. I'm not sure if someone found one or hacked the game or not, but it is stage three of level one. If anyone gets one, please let me know.

Update: By the way, I am not looking for the tileset, just the overall stage.

Discussion / The Legend of Zelda: The Tempus Temple (2D and 3D)
« on: April 27, 2010, 07:49:54 pm »
Take note that this project belongs to Light's Shadow and not Random.
So recently I found a really great MC spriter in RL and he told me that he will help me with sprites on my project if I help him with coding for his game. He is making a game called The Tempus Temple which was thought of when seeing an april fools last year --> http://www.hyrule.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=10695 <--. The april fools was a fake wii game in TWW style where PH link must send letters to ST link fo the safty of Hyrule. So, he decided to base a new game on that idea. The Tempus Door takes place both before and after Four Swords Adventure. He is making two versions of the game, a 3D version in TWW style, and a 2D version in MC style. (It is technicaly FS style. The stories arn't the same.)
In the intro, link starts out as the spoiled 13-year-old son of a succesful investor. Until one day, his father betted more than he had and was sentaced to a gietean for death. Link and his older sister, Oni, were sent to an orphanige in Dont island were link then learned how to be a knight. Oni became 20 and got a job as a banker for Dont islands, in result link was adopted by his sister at the age of 15. Link fell into the wrong crowd which caused him to break the island's Crest. Oni then game him two options, to go to Nayog Island to reform himself or become a knight. (By the way, up until now, this is all the intro.) If you choose to become a knight, you start your 3D game on Dont Island. If you choose to go to Nayog Island, you start your 2D game. (Nayog scrambled is Agony.)

Again, this is not Random's game, it is Light's Shadow's game.

I was looking at this image --> http://zeldawiki.org/images/8/81/Wiiart.jpg <-- and I noticed something rather odd. On the left hand side's stone, I saw an elderly Goron. (See attachments.) The Blue area is his head's shape, the violet is his hair, the red is his eye (you only see his side view), and the green area may be an oversized nostrile. (It is the side of a deku's mouth...) Am I going crazy? Or do you see it too.

Okay, I was watching a hilarouse comedy, so I thought, why not share Random or Funny Moments with ZFGC. So here is what we do, we look for funny or weird moments in any game and post it here. (Wether if its was from a rom or a camera.) You can only post one time and please don't make your images too identicle. Here is mine, it is from Mario &Luigi: Parters in Time.

Okay, for those of you who don't understand, it says "We are the Shroobs' Allies. We will Rock you (?), and after that, we will laugh while you four cry." (Is "Roxor" "we will rock you"?)

MC & FS / [Solved] MC Castle Garden Tiles
« on: April 16, 2010, 06:22:41 am »
I just want the ripped castle garden tileset so I can make a temple. This probably (and almost for sure) exists somewhere, but I can't find it. I'll give credit too the person who ripped it and the person who showed me this if you want. I am going to edit the tileset, however.

Entertainment / 3DS Topic
« on: April 10, 2010, 05:10:54 am »
I read an article that stated ten very important expectations for 3DS that I hope Nintendo takes into consideration. Here is a list on some immensly important ideas.
  • Since SM64DS was released, we have been begging Nintendo to make OoTDS. What better way to do this than with 3D features. Majora's Mas would be even better for such a thing. Imagine your riding Epona across Termina Field, but then, Oh No!, themoon smashes into you becuase you spent up too much time.
  • Although PH and ST made very good use for the touchscreen, but doesn't everyone one agree they should make an optional joystick or D-pad option for controls? (P.S.: How did D-pad get to be known as D-pad?)
  • Add some of the real world. Imagine, having TP, in the palm of your hands, and zant's head throws an attack towards you in 3D. As much as I think TWW style is best for handhelds, adding real world attributes in the third demention would be in the making for an excellent game.
  • With the added avancments in the new DS, we can easily bring back old classics such as ALttP to the DS. Many classics have been revived and been use on handhelds. Why not give another chance at ALttP-Handheld?
  • Tilting is a definite acomplishment for the DS. Why not utilising it a little more to ZDS3D? If they make OoT2D, one use of the tilting action could be to twist the forest temple. Or in MM2D, apon gaining the ability, you can tilt the Stone Tower at will.
  • The Vitility sensor is something added to ZWii that checks your pulsation. The more you get scared or freaked out by an enemy, the harder they become. It works kind of like a lie detector.
  • ST had a larger overworld than TP did, but it felt smaller than it becuase there was so much limitation to the game. No doubt, ZDS3D would have a larger overworld. (That is if they make it.) If they don't use too many limitations, than it will really pull you into the world of Hyrule. Especialy if it is in 3D.
  • There isn't much to say about this, but cutscenes need to be more elaborate. Although they have been weekened in most handheld games, they definitly need to use it more and make the more interactive. Especialy if they are going to make it 3D.
  • We now have a very overqualified game executor. We have the D-pad, touch screens, Z-targeting possibilities, vitility sensors, motion sensors, tilting, and third demention possibilities. We probably have more stuff then I know of, which overlyqualifies Nintendo for making a phonominal Zelda expierence that can make use of all of these features without abusing, or givving too many limitations to the actions.
  • Nintendo really needs to start making people want to buy Wii and DS games. This probably isn't good for people who have only one (like me). What I mean is, how bout making TWW for wii, PH for 3DS, ST for Wii, and you get my points. (Abvoisly not those exact games.)
As such, Nintendo better not holdback in there next DS title. They are probably working on a ne title as we speak. They wee working on PH before TP's title was announced, and looks at what is happening to ZWii... What do you think?

Entertainment / American Idol Topic

Just wondering, American Idol just had a top 9 voting. They voted off the worst of the top three and used a save so Big Mike didn't have to leave. If you watched and voted, who did you vote for?

Discussion / Vishop Concepting for Spirit Mythes
« on: April 08, 2010, 09:43:13 am »
My team working on Spirit Mythes nd those of you secretly woking on Spirit Mythes have been upto extras and sidequests recently. We have almost completly terminated our current priority of the Great Fairy Hidden Dungeon, coding the Mythe Door and gliding, coding day 8, and respriting the royal family over and over again. Our next works will be as followed: Other Uses of the Mythe Door, Vishops, Stone Tower (Final Dungeon) Scene coding, coding day 9, drawing out dungeon tiles, and designing minigames such s the Bomb flower one i spoke of earlier in a different post.

So we need help deciding on the Vishops. Vishops are dragonoid creature who strictly follow the orders of their masters. If unmastered, vishops will go bizerkly out of control and may turn into a miniboss for the player. We worked out a system on randomacy were the player has to take care of the Vishop in ways such as feeding him, training him, and battling against him. Vishops are a homosexual race of dragons who split up into three other races, which gives the player a more variety for what they should choose as their vishop. Although Vishops are true to their masters, they are weak to gossip stones ad may attack the player when near one. A vishop can not fly do to its weak wings, but it may glide down cliffs in the form of a minichallenge. (Similer to how link must snowboard down the mountian to get to the frozen mansion of snow peak in TP.) Vishops also have a very bad emotion disorder. Doing certian things such as grooming it or feading it or other miscelanouse things will change its mood. When the player obtains the Lens of Truth, the player may use the object to identify the mood of the Vishop. At no time in the game will Vishops be recquired for completion. However, if the player attempts a second quest, they must purchase a vishop and grow it from egg to death. A caculation of data is made for every vishop. What happens with the corpse of a vishop will pend on its caculations. The cause of death will also matter. If its been underfed, it will give low points. If it is overfed, it will give some points. If it dies of a heart attack after aging for multiple 10-day-cycles, it will give reasnoble points. Another cause of death that will gve practicly no points would be if the vishop is born premature. We have been working on coding the vishop since March third, and expect to be done on about June. We have recntly been spriting out the Vishops and we also made more and more concepts as the vishop ages. We hae currently came up with a concept art for its adolecent form. The Left one is a Demalla Vishop (with arms) and the right one is a Wyvern Vishop (without arms). The third form is completly sprited out from birth to death. We are curently takign any sugestions on what we should do with the vishops appearance. The sillowette in the concept art will be what we base the body structure for the Vishop to be at adolecence. Please refrian from sugesting things such as boobs or such becuase again, they have no distinguishable gender or form of reproduction. (Just realise I forgot to mention that the Vishops are made in an artifical egg from the guy who studies zoras from the great bay in MM.)

Entertainment / OMG! ZWii Dated!
« on: April 08, 2010, 09:07:53 am »
Okay this might or might not be the final date for Zelda Wii!

So the teporary date of release in America is November First. It may be released sooner or later in Asia, but as I said, this might be temporary. This was found in a Gamestop games listing. We'll hopefully see the final say in E3 2010 in Los Angelouse.
(P.S.: Is that the famouse book-seris Guardians of Ga'Hoole I see?)

Graphics / Final Appearance of the Royal Family in Spirit Mythes
« on: April 07, 2010, 05:53:20 am »
Hello, today we finaly finished the full tilesheet for the royal family of Spirit Mythes. This will probably be the last version I'll make becuase I'm tired of tinkering every single sprite and animation of them over and over again. Although you may not know him (unless you look up in a forum topic were it says "X Guests are veiwing this topic"), but I'd like to thank one of my beta testers, Danny, for helping me on this and giving productive criticism. On the following attachment we have the front pose of (,in this order,) Sen, Zelda, and Lord Hyrule. I generaly like how they came out (except the minor fact that Sen looks like a jester). What do you guys think?

Entertainment / Zelda II Speculation [Theory Warning]
« on: April 07, 2010, 04:18:41 am »
I have no idea were this goes but, in the following image, you see a sillowette of ganon as the gameover screen from the second zelda game. The second zelda game happens after ganon died, not to bring up timelines or anything, it is mentioned somewere. The final boss of the game is Link's Shadow (Dark Link). According to the manual, the prince of hyrule was fooled by a wizard to forc out info on the trifoce from zelda after the king of hyrule died. (Zelda really didn't know.) When zelda refused, she was put into an eternal sleep by a spell by that wizard. The spell was so strong that the wizard sacraficed his life in the proccess. Later on in the game, the fourth dungeon's boss is identicle in apperance to the wizard. So is it possible that he was revived? Later in the game, the eigth and final boss is Link's Shadow. In the following image, you see Ganon's shadow in the game over screen. Is Link's Shadow Ganon? Was he revived along with the Wizard? The Wizard wanted the location of the Triforce of Courage from zelda, did he find out by infesting himself in zelda when he died? Did he tell Ganon? At the end of the game, after defeating Link's Shadow, Link obtains the triforce of power... Is that a coincidence? Did Ganon get revived by the triforce of Courage? Was he looking for it to steal Link's secret weapon? Did I ask to many questions? What do you think?

MC & FS / [Solved] No such thing...
« on: April 03, 2010, 06:22:59 am »
People say there is no such thing as a female goron, and they are right... (Except for the manga one seen in attachment.) No Matter how many times I try, my gorons never looks feminine, so my request if someone could please make a female Goron in MC style. (I'm surprised how this isn't as populer as OoT2D.)

Graphics / Spirit Mythes Sprite Discussion
« on: March 30, 2010, 03:50:41 am »
Okay, so I need some help here. Recently we have been working on some extras and here are two of which we need help on. First we brainstormed on a new overworld monster. Before we continue on this sheet, we want to see what to do with it. It is a horse-like-creature called either a Pegasus or a Mythe Horse. (See Attachment.) We are also working on a new minigame that is similer to the Chest Game in ALttP. The difference is that it is Bomb Flowers Instead. There are eight of them in a room, six of them are bombs and two are prizes. They explode as soon as you pick them up. It uses a combination of a bush-cut-animation and a bomb-explosion-animation. As soon as you fail or win, you appear back in the same room and the flower is back in its spot and the prizes are randomised. We started working on spriting the bomb, we finished the room, so see the attachment and tell us what you think.

Graphics / [FREE SPRITE] Female Ghini
« on: March 24, 2010, 05:26:49 am »
This is just a small edit. Someone asked for a female Ghini like the NPC from Royal Valley exhibiting monster-like behaivor, so I made it. I'm not sure were on this website, or if it was even this website, but someone asked for it. The only normal Ghini I could find was from the spriter's rescource and it didn't show its Gibdo/Like Like-like behaivor. To see what I got so far see the attachment. I don't plan to continue, but if someone shows me its tail's gibdo-like actions, I'll edit that aswell.
