Depth of Tiles

What would I need to make a tiles depth to make it overlap an object (or can tiles overlap objects?) GM5.3 of scorse.

Make it a negative number higher than the negative of the object if I recall. So if the object is -1..put -2. Just keep track of what everything is or you'll run into some weird sorts of overlaps.

Add a new tile layer that, like fletcher said, has a depth less than the player's. If the player changes densities, you'll want to set it very high. Then just put all your overlapping tiles on that layer.
