« on: April 10, 2007, 01:56:28 am »
ok i'm going to list steps I hope this is helpful

1. Get a Dark color of green red or blue that you like
2. get a lighter color of green red or blue that you like
(repeat step 2 if you want alot of shades)
3. now take a color and (assuming your in paint) edit the color and go to the place where it states red greeb and blue values then follow the conversion table below

Red 2 green
switch the red and green values
(vice versa)

red 2 blue
switch the red and blue values
(vice versa)

green 2 blue
switch the green and blue values
(vice versa)

2 yellow
put the two most values on red and green and the lowest on blue

this will get you the basic colors

i'll add to this as i figure out howto get different colors :P

if looking at the color makes your eyes bleed, too much saturation. If it looks too washed out, not enough saturation. Other than that, just mess around with it until it looks pretty good.

true n_n well, my point is that he didn't mentioned saturation and contrast.. really important to make a good pallete.( contrast is the difference between to color ex: black and white are the most contrasted colours)
