I'm going to have to pick Windows. If everything just works, where is the fun? Microsoft products are built by human beings too and believe it or not, they *do* put thought into the product. It's not Windows itself that will crash, it's poorly coded drivers or software. Apple makes its own drivers and 1st party software, so they don't have as many issues as Windows users do. Mac OS is also nowhere near as popular as Windows. If it was, all of the problems and complaints you see for Windows now will likely be on Mac OS.

There is nothing wrong with Mac OS X, it is a beautiful operating system with a solid UNIX clone core. But Apple is more restrictive in terms of hardware than Microsoft.
