So,I made a password on my laptop...

I tried to get on my laptop and it wouldn't take my pasword...
I checked numlocks,cap lock,everything...
Then I notice a little AR system by my password...
The damn thing is making me type my password in arabic!WTF!?
I've got to reset the whole damn thing now...-_-...
I just hooked a wireless card in my desktop so I could get online...
I AM PISSED....I had music...my C++ prgoram....some good porn...
Game saves...the sketch concepts for ZFGCCP....-_-...
PHOTOSHOP CS3...Which I do not own a cd of...-_-....

Aughh...technology blows.

Try booting from a Knoppix disk to access your data and copy it to an external hard drive or some other backup medium.  At least that way you won't lose all your data.  You could also use another Linux LiveCD like Ubuntu or Damn Small Linux or something.

Well, thank god I had a recovery partition(which did not work by the way)...
I used it to make a backup of my c:\ onto another partition...
Now the problem is that most of my files are in the mydocuments folder or folders that were on my desktop...
Windows will not let me access \documents and settings\my user folder....>:(

!@#$% MICROSOFT!!!!

Omg... I think you're having my problem I still have with my old Harddrive in my new comp... and it's been 2 years.

Again, use a liveCD.  For some reason, I found myself unable to access the "C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Owner" folder on my external hard drive (o_O wtf?) but I got around that by using Knoppix.  I couldn't delete some of the files for some reason, so I renamed them to random gibberish.

Dan, are you saying whatever Koopix is could allow me to acess my encrypted files?

Either get Ubuntu and use it like Knoppix was suggested, or get BartPE (which is the same, only it uses windows instead). I think you would be more familiar with BartPE, all you need is a genuine windows disk (or at least what it thinks is genuine, it might be old or something....).  Have fun.
