So wait, doesn't that mean that noone's liable for what they post? Even copyrighted material? Or am I misunderstanding something here?

but now they're going to post my videos all over the internet!? D:

YouTube videos get put in the news here in the UK all the time (videos of gang beatings or political speeches etc.), now I know why XD

>_> Yes you are. They can make money off your videos, which you wont ever see. They basically own the rights to your creations. Its like Game Maker 7's EULA, You make a game, Yo Yo Games like it. So they sell it and you dont see any of the money. Although I think Yo Yo Games changed it. And Also in this case, YouTube have actually done it several times.

Yo Yo Games does NOT own your creations and they can NOT and will NOT sell it PERIOD! I went to the help center and asked and they said it is still property of the creator NOT Yo Yo! Yo Yo only tells you to put them in so you can assure your players that the game will not harm their computer, kind of like quality assurance.

Remember ask the source before you jump the gun. Yoyo games just worded their EULA to imply the wrong thing. I think if you were rewrite it and included it in your game it will be fine.

This should be obvious common knowledge :p

but keep in mind; you can post a video demo of your project and that does NOT mean Youtube holds the right to your project; just the video you posted. It makes sense, IMO. But this is also why I dont use YouTube for anything major lol

Though there could be a situation where they could steal your stuff. But why would Google do that?

you guys are missing the purpose of this- its not for them to steal your content or subject matter. It's sole intent is to allow them to show these things on TV, or any other form of media without going through the legal hassle of contacting the video creator. Plain and simple o.0

If you dont want to be on tv, hen dont upload the videos? Or upload them to your own sites video players, they are after all easy to make.

Well if it was in their EULA they were liable to. And like I said, I dunno if its still in there. Also you can sit and preach about how you talked to someone who assured you otherwise, but at the end of the Day, an EULA is a legal document, and word of mouth isn't; which would hold up in a court case?
