But they've amazed me after watching two movies of total 3 hours. Who has seen it too? For the ones who doesn't, I recommend Death Note. Logged

Well actually, a few parts (like in the train) was a lot more exciting in the Movie than in the Anime. That's a good point to compare with the anime, and the anime is anoying to switch episodes too. I like the manga more

And yeah, the potato chips was pretty funny.

I... cant agree with the topic subject... lol

I did a lot of translation stuffs on Death Note, and Death Note: The Last Name... (I was one of the earlier translators of TLN, but I never released it publicly lol I didn't have any QC, and I dont speak Japanese... lol so my translations came from a book and some common sense); they butchered the story, and dumbed it down horribly... They merged 2 baddies (L and Near), and they did a shithouse job at it

Although... lol I did actually enjoy the movies

but I dont think theyre anything great.. BUT! They did better than the Da Vinci Code in japan :p

Although the plot was severely condensed, I thought it was done pretty well. Plus, Light's father was played by Kaga from Iron Chef! I haven't watched the second movie yet, but if it doesn't have JUST AS PLANNED in it, I'm forever condemning the films. Logged
