Gif supports transperency, but not like 50% it's either there or not

However .TaKaM's sig is pretty neat, he combined .png and .gif and made it look like one image flawlessly as .png cannot be animated

He probably just created an image, pasted some layers together, flattened it and saved it to a gif >.>. However if your refering to how he does his current sigs and makes it blend correctly with the forum, as -Ali- said he makes the image out of multiple segments saved as png and gif depending on what he needs. Best to ask him though, he knows how he does it more than anyone else :).

Not sure. Its not very well supported at the moment, but some developers are slowly begining to accept it and similar formats.

just used the eraser tool in photoshop, then saved as png
