I was just surfing along the net, looking for a new japanese animated film releasing this year. And somehow, i run into this really interesting information.

Stating Wii is 18000yen... Which is i think roughly around 180US, correct me if i'm wrong.
Because the site also had a new confirming Nintendo annoucing it is going to be 25000, 250 US.
The PC sucess site is already starting to accept orders or pre orders for 18000.
What do you guys think?

I know that the japanese Wii price comes out to between $200 and $250 US. The Wii will likely launch at $250 with a price drop the following summer or fall, that's my guess.

However, I HOPE that it launches at $200 since I am cheap and have no money...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Japan's Wii will always be cheaper than US. If IT IS 18,000 yen, i'm pretty sure like what you said, it'll be around 200.
Considering i got my DS without anything discount or price drop. It was around 130 CAN from Japan, and in Canada sells for around 160- 180$ish (If plus tax probably around 180ish)

Actually I'm pretty sure that the American DS was cheaper than the one in Japan. Nintendo can really afford to charge more in Japan since the Xbox doesn't really exist and the PS3 is much pricier. In the west though, the 360's core package is only $50 more expensive than that $250 mark...

Nintendo hasn't confirmed a price.  They have confirmed that it won't cost more than 250 USD.

They haven't confirmed a price in America, but the Japanese price has been confirmed. So we are trying to figure stuff out based on that and the $250 promise.

If those rats make it 250 euros too its so weak.

???200 is like the perfect price. Ill buy it instantly.

Europe pays more for EVERYTHING....they have this LCD screen at Wallmart for like $200...the same screen costs ???350 in shops, and ???299 at discount.
