Hey guys! A while ago I record a video where I played a Zelda medley using fruits! (The apples are faked, there are real drums)

I hope you like it!

Songs:
00:03 - The Legendary Hero
00:33 - The Legend of Zelda Theme Song
01:11 - Song Of Storm
01:33 - Song Of Time

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhsyjI6BSt4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhsyjI6BSt4</a>

Instruments: Pear, pineapple, carrot and apples!

I like the pear-ocarina most!

What do you think?  :)

That was awesome. How do you get fruit to sound so much like real instruments? The drums thing is pretty funny, because in Song of Storms you can't really tell that it's fake drums but when the second apple comes in it's hilarious.

The same way you get a bottle of water to make different sounds when you blow over the top :) Sound is made by nothing more than a vibrating column of air, and the length of that column determines the pitch of the sound.  Your fingers control that length by covering different holes or valves on the instrument, or by pulling a slide or fretting a string.

Hm. Sounds and looks to me like it was all faked. But if not - well done.

I must admit, I'm a bit suspicious too. But in a friendly way, cause if it's not, then that's fantastic!

But considering carrots are all about the same size, how did you get the pan pipe carrots and the slide carrot to by such different pitches? And also, how did you manage to get NO glissandos with a slide carrot? I could never even do that on a trombone, much less a vegetable!

Ehh...a wee bit skeptical now that I'm actually hearing it (watched it at work first with no sound) aside from other things (the way the carrot trombone is being played for one thing.  The pitch change is inconsistent with the movement of the slide ;). That and the precision of the notes is just too spot on).  Nice video regardless!

Pfft. I !@#$% lol'd when I saw this.

I think this guy might've "remastered" the sound, but then again.. who knows and who cares. This guy is too mainstream to use proper instruments. c wat i did thar?
