I have recently gotten a Macbook and was wondering if any version of Game Maker is compatible with the Mac OS X Tiger system...If not,I heard about parallel booting...My laptop cant dual boot...doesn't have an Intel cpu....
Anyone know alot about parallel booting?

Also, are there any other game making software that runs on Mac but can be played with windows?

Show Macintosh some love, fool! Windows is the worst operating system in existence. Sure, Linux is better than Mac, but Mac is way better than Windows!

Virtual PC, but that's slooooow and commercial <.<; and I'm not sure if it works with MacOS X either.

It makes games as standalone .exe, in browser files (like Flash) and soon will be able to make games for the Wii.

Well, Helios was working on RGD (check my sig, although I'm gonna remove it since it's outdated stuff), which was a Game Maker-like application except much better AND cross-platform compatible. Too bad though, so yeah, I suggest you try out unity3D or learn real programming languages.

Yes, Unity is god damned amazing. And also expensive. I just bought the $250 Indie version a little while ago. So if you can beat the price (and that fact that you can't make Windows .exe files without the $1,500 pro version), buy it! The community over there (forum.unity3d.com) are very helpful with anything.

And Soapy, yes Unity will be able to publish to Wii soon, but not without a Wii Dev Kit. >_<

Oh, and buy it quick, because Unity 2.0 is coming out this summer at a higher price, but if you buy 1.6.2 now you'll get a free upgrade to 2.0 later on!

EDIT: You actually must be lying about one thing or another. If you got a MacBook, it has to have an Intel Processor. If you don't have an Intel Processor, you don't have a MacBook. So if your computer is truly a MacBook, try downloading and installing Boot Camp and a copy on WinXP (down with Vista!). But still get Unity too! It'd be cool to have another ZFGC'er at the Unity Community.

Lucky! I can only afford Indie right now. :( But maybe once I start selling Wanilla's flagship game, RaceCraft, I might be able to afford it.

Probably. I don't know, I'm still learning, but there's this really good tutorial : http://www.freenetpages.co.uk/hp/alan.gauld/tutintro.htm.
