It looks really nice from what you can see in the scan. The main character is sweet.
The developers also say that your character will not start as an unexperienced character, but will at the start of the game have a hero-status. No more main characters asking "HUH, WHAT'S THAT DO!?" Ala Lloyd and Vaan.

Ring of Fates (DS) and Crystal Bearers (Wii) hopefully will connect to each other via WiFi. That would be sweet.

Why? To add tedious unlocks that require you to buy both games?
I'm not going to buy RoF because the multilayer is the main aspect of it, CB however, focuses on single-player, and that alone (As far as I know) and that I will buy :D.

So I'd be happier if I was able to unlock extra content in game. Which is why FF3 DS pisses me off a little, you have to send mails to people on WFC to gain the Onion Knight class and stuff.

It is kinda original making an RPG starting as hero.

I don't get excited about Final Fantasy spin-offs! why don't they port FFIX or something on the Wii?

Gtfo out of my thread, thx.

This isn't as much as a FF spinoff as an RGP trying to cash-in on the FF name (Final Fantasy Gaiden Aka - Seiken Densetsu). However, it looks like a high-budget title from the screens.

I didn't say these games will be bad but I just prefer to see an normal Final Fantasy game on the Wii. But if this Final Fantasy: Crystal Bearers will be good I will buy it.

I still haven't beat the first FFCC game >.>, I have to buy it again.

God i hope the DS one has normal pad control instead of touch screen movement. I can't wait to see how you will use the Wiimote in the Wii one.

Maybe you could import characters from FF:CC over to Crystal Bearers? You can have the memory card in while the Wii game plays, and it can read the game data, and pick up the character files.

just go buy a Ps2 and you can find FF9 for about 10 dollars at a used game store. Or you could just download it and play it on an emulator.

When I look back upon my life
It's always with a sense of shame
I've always been the one to blame
For everything I long to do
No matter when or where or who
Has one thing in common, too

It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a sin
It's a sin
Everything I've ever done
Everything I ever do
Every place I've ever been
Everywhere I'm going to
It's a sin~
