Kinda looking at getting the Generation Nex. I'm sick of the original NES because the contacts in the system suck. I'm also looking at the NES 2 or the "top loader NES" because it's official and better than the original NES. Which one do you think would be more worth it? The Generation Nex has wireless capabilities and got a 9.5/10 on IGN but the NES 2 works with Castlevania III (which I may want to get sometime). But the NES 2 has a few problems like lines due to a faulty internal RF modulator and lack of A/V support... >> Plus something about games being wobbly in it.

Any thoughts?

Wow I didn't even know these things existed! And they're pretty cheap too! I say you should get one of those.

I'm wondering which one: The NEX or the NES 2. The only thing the NES 2 has over the NEX is the NES 2 is official, but I think I'm going with the NEX on this one.

so my friend stole a giant bag of ketchup out of the ketchup pumping things and brought it to our table and we took it in the bathroom and i smashed it over the sink and kicked it around the bathroom and smeared it everywhere and we all took turns kicking the ketchup out of it and when we were done it looked like an african village was murdered in the bathroom

The NEX got really bad reviews because of compatibility issues.

Go official and scan eBay for a NES2.

NEX's Sound Sucks. It sounds nothinhg like the actuall NES, plus some games don't work on it, including Castlevania III.

I looked at the games that don't work with it and Castlevania III is the only one that I would play, but I don't have it or have any means of getting it anyways. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on ebay for it and I doubt it will turn up in a pawn shop/thrift store in such a small city.

But the sound issues. That's interesting. Can you be a little more descriptive in what problems the NEX has with sound?

It's hard to explain, I'll make a video soon comparing Super Mario Bros. on the NEX to Super Mario Bros. on the Wii.

Ok. But wouldn't it make more sense to compare the NEX to the NES?

I don't have an NES. The Wii has acurate sound, so it'll be fine.

I have an NES with Dragon Warrior, Zelda, Mario 1 - 3, Tetris, Marble Madness, Yoshi's Cookie, etc. I'm just getting pissed off at my NES and want something that actually works.

Just use an emulator and buy a joystick, it's much more reliable and cheaper.
