Just wondering if anyone else uses a notebook for coding concepts, engines, and theories.
I actually a few.

My main one has GM7 pro engines all written out, SDL/OpenGL notes, and PureBasic code.
My others have XNA and MMF2 stuff I wrote down.

Meh, too many languages, I know.

But anyone else kinda do the same thing.

Nope. I write to much !@#$% to be able to document it all. Writing comments for it is enough.

Whenever I need to plan something I just create a !@#$% load of text documents containing ideas and thoughts.

lol, yeah, I use text files too - I create them for any random idea.  The problem is my computer is a laptop so I have no desk space for paper.  However, if I have room on my desk or the floor and I have paper, I do sometimes write out code that way.  It's mainly just a rush of ideas though to see if I can brainstorm a way of doing something.

I was most proud of when I did this and devised that I could have all the tabs in a menu engine have their id's stored in an array and then could be manipulated via for loops.  I thought that idea was genius for something I figured out on a bored day.

I mainly write music. No need :).
I might want to make some tree graphs when I start getting more complicated routing of tracks though.

I had a book with about 100 pages full of notes, maps and code for OoL. Was great to lay outside and just imagine things then put them on paper, some stuff you can't do in front of a screen.
