This is an example to show how to do a Roc's Cape system without creating the sprites with the whole jumping animation (with the character rising and falling in the sprite)  all you need to do in this example is just make the jumping sprites without having to draw the character going up and down in a sprite.

It fine
BUT!
He jumps to long, and high.  Also the falling animation is to fast, and it doesn't match the sound... but it's still good ^_^.

Oh, you use that annoying method to fall in the hole!?
the one that pulls you when close?, it sucks even if you dont fall it pulls you in, but thats not the point in this, the example its about the jumping, its great.
Tho it seems kind of slow for some reason.

It good, save for this:
Code: [Select]
execute_string('sprite_index=sprPlayerJump'+facing)never EVER use execute_string in GML, EVER!  It can slow down games a lot.  It's actually far more efficient to write out a switch structure for sprite changing (which I think you were doing here).

It's okay, I guess, but it's nothing like the original and pretty buggy. For instance, your momentum stays if you jump into a hole, gets pretty annoying.

I made an improtant update.  The Roc's Cape finally hits GM!  WE all should know how the Roc's Cape works in the oracle series.  Its the same in this example, so you have the feather and the cape!

its from http://www.kousougames.com/examples.php

Are you trying to say he stole another guy's work? Because if so, you need to read better. This is the same guy who submitted his stuff to Kosou Games.

Other people are able to make the same mental connection without assistance. Anyway, in the future make sure not to post in a topic that is over a year old. Locked.
