I lost my starcraft CD & Serial and was wondering if anyone would be willing 2 help me out by lending me theirs if u have ur CD lying around

I don't think I've ever owned Starcraft myself, but I think it's pretty cheap right now-- like $20 or maybe even like $15 at most stores for the entire battle chest. It's not a bad deal :p

If he's asking for a CD with the serial number then I think it's alright, if he's just asking for just the serial number then that would be wrong. Then again I am not too familiar with PC gaming so I am not fully sure of how the concept of used ownership applies, but I am sure that asking just for the serial number sometimes implies trying to use it with an illegally obtained version of the game.

It's alright to give out your copy of the game with the disc and serial, but it's not alright to make a copy and distribute it. It's pretty much the same rules that apply to places like GameStop on used software, except this has no sale price.

I couldve sworn it just said serial and not CD + serial before... O_o

You can the game digitally from Blizzard with Brood War for $15.
Just create a battle.net account, go to the store, buy the game, add the cd-key to your battle.net account and it's yours until the internet dies.

Love it since my Diablo 2 cds are all !@#$% up but I still have my cd keys so I can download it whenever I want to.

had to download it too since the gold edition of d2 is bugged for updating it to the addon -.-
