Quote
Record labels owned by Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Vivendi's Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group and Britain's EMI Music are behind the complaint, which seeks compensatory and punitive damages, including at least $150,000 for each instance in which a copyright song was distributed without permission.

There isn't that much money in the world.

So what! I wanna get out! 'Cos there's so much out there! So many different people, living different lives! Incredibly good guys, bad guys... Folks completely different from us! It's one huge melting pot! See, it's not about success, dying in the streets, who's better, who's not! I just want to be a part of it! I realized that even if I've no connections, no talent, even if I'm one big loser, I want to use my hands and feet to think and move, to shape my own life! We can just die here or we can try, see what we've got!

WTF, Ironic, I just happen to be using Limewire instead of Torrents because the torrent speed is crap.

I honestly don't know how LimeWire can get sued, since all the program does is connect to the Gnutellia server, it's not like they upload the music there. Plus, FrostWire is better anyway, IMO.

Haha, stupid idiots. Theyre never going to stop illegal music downloads. Why dont they just drop it.

If they want to stop it they have to blow up the entire internet. As long as that excists we can get it.
Everyone has hundreds of mp3s on their hard drives so they can be reshared indefinatly.

it was about time Lime-wire was sued!  it was SO illegal, and I use lime-wire too... but all the idiots can do is sue them, they can't arrest everyone that ever downloaded either... that woudk be dumb, so they make an example to the source!
thats quite clever...

there is a precedent though, since the company doesn't do anything to discourage illegal activity courts have ruled that they are facilitating illegal behavior. I expect them to do the same with limewire...
