An hour after I looked on the topic Fox posted in Programming (FONT CREATOR) I was wondering.


If you make a new font, can you use it in Game Maker?


Just a thought.

dont see why you cand add it as a font in gm6
or you could do it the old gm5 way and add it in as a sprite with the images in ascii order
then just use that with the special font drawing using sprite functions

Yes you can. I believe you also need the other person playing to have it installed.

you need the font on the pc even if you add in a font in gm6?
i never knew that
i thought i read something about being careful that you dont just click "all" for all the ascii characters of the font when adding in a font as it'l boost up the file size, therefore meaning the font is kept in the exe, so they wont need the font

I have tried it out and it works. I will then try out the fact about the "has to be installed" thing. I will then reply.
