Okay, so if you don't know the rugby finals (rugby is almost like a superior version of American Football) are tomorrow, and it's England vs South Africa.

While last time we played them, we lost something like 36-0, since then England's rugby team has become some kind of power-house and made it to the finals.

So, what do you think? Don't you care? Are we English completely boned? Will we wipe out South Africa because they have gotten too complacent?

Discuss now!

BTW: I don't usually care about Rugby, or any sport, but this has got me interested!

We're completely boned. I know Argentina aren't a great side, but look how totally raped they were against South Africa. We're a side that got  through as far as we did based on luck, and South Africa, unarguably, have the most skilled side in the world right now. If we win, we won't have deserved it.

I also got interested on this World Cup.
Mainly because of the mediatism around Portugal's presence.
Also, I got addicted to the Haka... It's so cool. :O

No such thing, but the FIFA World Cup (FIFA being the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, note "football", not "soccer") isn't until 2010.

I like how you say Rugby is ALMOST a superior version of American Football. Meaning it is close, but not. I came into this topic thinking England was going into some epic war with South Africa. Now that I know it's about Rugby I don't really care. As an American I don't usually hear about Rugby so I don't know anything about the topic at all. I just wanted to post that American Football is superior. And that England should definitely go into an all-out old-school war with South Africa.

oh, does not going by the original and official name not make sense then?
maybe naming another sport with the same name as an existing one wasn't such a good idea :/

It's superior to the pathetic American Football, which is almost like a version of rugby.

Let's see you bench 490 lbs. I'd love to see a Rugby player who can do it too. Everything has its place, but you're an idiot if you think a sport like football is "pathetic".

Original and official huh? The original version of American football was called so because plays were done on foot rather than horseback. As a nation, we didn't get soccer until later, so we needed another name for it since we already had a fairly well established football. At that time, the name for soccer wasn't even official. Original and official... Hahaha.

erm, well if you take it from the USA's point of view, yes
but that could be sent right back at you if you take it from the English point of view, as obviously our football didn't originate in the USA :/

!@#$%, why does a sport have to be "better" than another?
Soccer(European Football) is my favorite, and I love to play it, and plan to in college.

American Football is pretty damn fun to play too.

I personally don't like Rugby, but I don't go around going, "OLO RUGBY/FOOTBALL B DAM BETUR DAN FOOTBALZ/RUGBI.

American Football relies primarily on strength and throwing power. In Rugby, it's all about full charging power, passing the ball from left to right, and to get the ball far down the field you kick it. As for the pic- American Football players may be stronger- but Rugby players are hard as nails. They don't wear helmets, or any padding for that matter. Except maybe a groin box or a kind of small padded hat.

And the Caps are more so their hair and ears don't get pulled out in a scrum.
No stations played this :(
But a new station is coming soon that will be devoted to rugby, cricket and soccer :D

Rugby players are tough, but the point is that football players are arguably tougher. Something that Europeans don't understand.
