I've been looking for a video converter that will convert AVI files to M-JPEG compliant AVI or MOV files.  So far I haven't found anything that has gotten the job done.  Do any of you know of any good programs?

Nintendo definitely should have been much more diverse in the formats compatible with the Photo Channel.

EDIT:
Okay, I found a program that converts to the proper format, but its not playing the audio on the Wii, (the audio works on my PC).  I have the option to change the audio format before I convert the file, (PCM, MP3, MP2/4, AMR ACELP, or IMA ADPCM), but I have no idea which would be compatible with the Wii.

Any ideas?

Wii uses AAC, if you got the update.

Wii uses AAC, if you got the update.

I don't think that update happens until sometime next month...but bad move on Nintendo's part.  Sure, AAC allows for much higher quality, but to remove the ability to play MP3s altogether is just absurd.  But anyway, that update is just for the music playing function, not the video player, (as far as I'm aware).

Also, through trial and error it seems that the only audio format that works with the video player is PCM.  This might be common knowledge for some people, but finding both a program that allowed me to convert to MJPEG and then figuring out the audio format was a huge pain in the ass.

I suggest one of you savvy programmers create an all-in-one Wii video conversion program to save people the trouble.  There's already a billion iPod and PMP converters out there, but definitely none for the Wii.  Of course, not many people will ever even use the Photo Channel, but it'd be nice to have for those that would like to.

http://media-convert.com/

that's a good site. maybe the audio problems lies within the program you're using.

So, uh, I guess you guys didn't notice but I figured everything out on my own through trial and error the same day I posted this...eight days ago.

Thanks for the help, but a bit too late...

Ok I know you've sorted it. But if anyone ever had troubles with video codecs again, download SUPER video converter. It will convert ANY video codec to ANY other video codec.
