A lot of people like to call it crappy because it's too damn popular. you know what, i actually kind of agree with swiftu here, the naruto show is really crappy. the books are ok, and i used to like them until they got really bad(about 300 issues in), but the show is completely unbearable. first of all the artwork is a big step back from the books and the books didn't have exactly awesome artwork. the voice acting is terrible as well, and this goes for most anime. and i'm not just talking about the english dubs. knivu's right about bad writing too, there's just a bunch of really small changes from the books that make it really not good. and all this bad-ness can be summed up in two words. "BELIEVE IT!!" yea, worst catch phrase i've ever heard(i haven't heard many though) and he didn't even have one in the books. in the original japanese he doesn't say that, but he does say "!@#$% off" a lot. I read some of the manga when it first was released, (before it was brought stateside officially), and liked it at first, (I was young and stupid)...but bleh, I've grown out of shonen. I really liked DBZ when I was little, (which I actually don't feel ashamed for...at least I wasn't obsessed with the Pokemon anime, thank god.), and I enjoyed Bleach up until the end of the first arc, (after which it spiraled into utter mediocre, which may in fact be an extreme understatement). Maybe some people enjoy shonen past twelve, and that's fine, but no...not for me. *BELIEVE IT!* shoots self in head Logged
