what languages can you speak?

i can speak japanese, so i'm wondering what languages everyone else can speak, not counting english.

I can speak Dutch :P one of the hardest languages in the world to learn. XD

I can speak Welsh! And Agay-bagay, where you put "aga" in each syllable of each word, sort of an alternative to Pig-Latin. Oh, and I speak tiny bit of German, and made vague attempts to learn French, Spanish and Japanese.

I can speak French, Spanish and English fluently and I am currently in my 3rd year of Chinese.

wow lots of languages here, i did take a french and spanish class before but japanese is the only one i seem to remeber well.

Actually I was born in Spain and my dad is French so I went under the French scholarship in Spain. I speak French and Spanish since I can still remember :P. I learned English while I was living in Singapore, I guess I can learn languages with ease.

I can speak swedish, finnish ,english and a little german. I can speak swedish and finnish fluently, because the place i live has two main languages (finnish and swedish). It's pretty useful :). I'm impressed some of you can speak chinese :o!

yeah chinese and japanese are very confusing languages, the japanese language has somewhere around 4000 different symbols.

That's true, Japanese is harder than Chinese since Japanese has 3 "alphabets".

yeah it gets really confusing since they have a normal alphabet, hiragana, the foreign alphabet, katakana, and then the kanji symbols that stand for entire words and combine to make different words. i know all the hiragana and most of the katakana and then i know around 80 basic kanji but i'm still trying to learn more.

German, and English almost as well. I had French for about four years, but I start lacking at it... I'm back at the basics.

The Kanji alphabet uses, basically, the same caracters as the Chinese alphabet. The only problem is that China has undergone a huge simplifaction campaign which simplified most of its caracters, Japan never made that change and thus kept the original, complicated caracters. Also two caracters might look the same in Chinese and Japanese but won't mean the same in the different languages.
