could you show an example with the other pallet? I think this looks nice, but can't say which is better.

Yeah. I'm doing a recolor for KT in his topic real quick and then I'll do that. Are you going to be on for a little while longer?

I just had my breakfast, but I'll be going to the Uni in about 1.5 hours. I'll be there for a couple of hours, but I can check in from time to time.

All right. I actually like this one a lot more and I wouldn't have to recolor that many tiles again. I feel like it has a more developed look. Thoughts?

or

No problem KT!

The one on the left looks better in my opinion. It's softer on the eyes :P, and it's not really bright.

I don't know. I like them both actually. The one with the blue water has a more prestine feel about it. The water is still pure and clean. The other one I think is more connected to the swamp above. The green water shows that swamp water has been flowing in the caves and has dragged some of its swamp muck along.

I like both. It is just the kind of feel you are trying to go with.

The one on the left is softer, the colors blend. The one on the right is much dirtier in comparison.

What if you guys covered one up? I feel like the colors of the one on the right go together some much better than the ones on the right. If it's not next to a blue, it doesn't look bad. Maybe? Haha. When I look at the one on the right, I feel like it's really mystic-y. The water is going to be sparkling, too. Anyone? lol Am I alone in this?

Edit: How about this. The one in the middle a happy medium? Instead of having the highlight in the water yellow, I made it white.

I like the first, but the second could work. I just don't think it works with those colours, the purple walls are a bit of an eyesore.

The first one. They are both good, but the first one seems to be closer to complimentary colors. Blue and orange.

Blue version looks like it could be used for a nighttime scene IMO. I prefer the green one myself.

But that's just me.

I was talking to my friend last night, and he was mentioning about how in 1980, he thought the internet would become this amazing place where people from across the world would share ideas. I was telling him about how this project [KOT] has worked, lurching along for years and drawn by different people from across the globe, and he thought it was beautiful. And he was right, it's awesome. :D

The green fits better with the setting, a swamp. Plus it makes the maP feel more "cave like", I think. I dunno.

I agree, for some reason the blue looks more of a "night' or "nightmare" setting, the green
fits the swamp-like feel of the Zora's home IMO.

hmm what I dislike about the green one is that Jabu-Jabu colours doesn't fit the rest, maybe make Jabu-Jabu more yellow?

I can see that, there's alot of cool colors in the pallet like blues and purples.

Update: So I wasn't kidding when I mentioned I lose interest! This is the newest update to the Oracle of Dreams world. I figured I'd just bump this instead of making a new topic since there's so much information here. :P

So I created an earthy Unicorns Fountain that will make an appearance in the "game." [assuming there is one.] I'm not sure how important it will be, but I've always wanted to sprite it. I sort of like how it came out. We'll see. I might make it a bit more true to form in comparison to the original.

I also have a new species that are [blatantly] edited from the bear Link can control in the Oracle series. They're called Gheatians [Gee-tians] and they live in a recently frozen over desert north of the Gerudos. I'm currently mapping it, so I figured I'd just post the tileset to get some feedback. I created a pretty large glacier-esque object to use around the area and a telescope that will possibly be usable. The Gheatians are a highly enlightened tribe that study divination and the stars. They're also struggling to maintain a healthy environment what with all the recent snow. Let me know what you guys think!
