Yeah, I'm well surprised I haven't seen any topics here about the world cup :o crazy (or galning if you're swedish  ::))

Anyway, who do you reckon will win? Ofcourse I'd like England to win, but that never happens, meh...the old cliche topic of Rooney being injured etc is an important one, he is England's one player who can change the fate of the match just like that, imo. But anyway, what about all you guys?

Brazil ^_^

Ofcourse, the Olympia stadium is totally the best one ever. But this World Cup mania in our country is getting out of hand, everything is orange, (our nations color) like..orange flags everywhere, some morons even put orange plastic all over their house.

I'm really expecting the US to do better than England... I'm no expert, but everyone I talk to who follows soccer closely, plus the international standings going into the tournament, US has a pretty good chance to do better than they ever have in the past...

acctually, USA isn't a great rival compared with THE bests like Brazil, Italia?, England, Germany(the home team has the advantage). USA might be a good rival, but is nothing compared with Brazil, i would support Mexico but i know it will loose in the quarters final, and yea  Germany won :P their defense is really really bad. And Canada didn't calified.

I haven't watched any of USA's game's lately - I've always thought they were a better team than most people said they were though. I remember supporting them in a match against Brazil back in '94 , they did quite well (2-1 loss if i remember correctly)! :P

But noooo way will they do better than England  8)

to clarify, I'm not saying that means the US will do better, I'm just saying it is quite possible (maybe even probable) that they will

im sure you don't really know soccer xD still US might just be good because of their foreign players. but if you just add USA players they will lose. Also USA doesn't have the pasion like mexico.

You don't have foreign players on a national team, that's why it is a national team. US has some incredible talent now too. Their keeper is one of the best in the world. Landon Donovan is also pretty dominant, not on the level of more prominant foreign players, but certainly not someone you can overlook...

I don't think there is any arguement that can be made for passion either. When soccer is your life, as it is for all of these professional athletes, I doubt passion is an issue.

well ronaldinho is the best player, and as i think he doesn't care about money because he is doing what he likes, also what i mean foreign i mean Usa people which are playing in other places.. and i dont' know that keeper you say :P
