Those are some great suggestions Bboy94!
so, what has been done so far?
I'll try to summarize (correct any mistakes or any omissions I forgot and left out)
- Game title: The Legend Of Zelda: The Chrome Ball Chronicles
- Graphics style: Minish Cap
- Gameplay style: similiar to Sonic Spinball
- Resources obtained so far: Link sprites, flipper sprites, HUD
Also different people have been doing a lot of brainstorming on gameplay details and storyline. What was the result of the Reg/Unreg poll? I assume this is officially being programmed in Registered GM?
... I never have enough graphics ppl. I will just make a pinball engine now to test it out if you want, but how do want it to work, just basic pinball, or do u want to be able to control link at certain times in pinball mode?
I thought this was going to be similiar in style to Sonic Spinball? Maybe for now, just create a simple pinball engine, then later expand on it.
I would need a full graphics set (talking at least one level, the flippers the character and everything else you would want in the first level) before I would start programming anything
Do we have a full graphics set yet? jackofalltrades, I know you mentioned that you were working on the sprite font, how is that coming along?
While we're waiting on Dark Xion to finish the engine maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to start posting game resources (sprites, tiles, sfx, music) that would be appropriate for the game (in Minish Cap style.) I also thought it might help development if, whoever was interested, started putting together some mockups to help in the brainstorming. Maybe begin designing the layout of the levels, etc.
Also, what does everyone think of having the resources external to the program? I think it would be cool if this game was modifiable and it might would help with download sizes. As updates to the game would become available a user would only have to download those specific parts instead of the whole package. (Engine, graphical updates, etc.) Just a thought.
