Well I do have over 700k free memory so that isn??t the problem. Seems like my phone just can??t download such a big files. I??ll have to get a cable somewhere.

I'm pretty sure my phone can handle it, but my service sucks so bad that they probably don't allow WAP. I'm out of minutes right now and have no USB cable, so I'll have to try it later :P

Good to see this starting up again!

I left zfgc a long time ago but just had to register again to tell you how much I love what your doing with your game. It's java, runs on mobiles and is one of the most impressive fan games. It's so refreshing with something that isn't another gamemaker oot2d clone. Your work inspires me, and many others. Keep it up!

The new demo is very nice. Haven't found any bugs so far. However it seems like my phone (SonyEricsson K700i) only can handle one sound at a time. So every time I slash my sword the background music stops. The sword sound is played and the music starts over again. This gets a bit annoying since the result is that i only hear the start of the song over and over again when fighting. I have to take a closer look at this since I recall playing games with both background music and sounds.

Anyway thank you so much and I wish you the best of luck to your project!

I agree with what you said 100%. As for the sound problem it seems to be quite common, My N-gage does it as does sterlins QD, my Nokia 6111 handles it fine though....

wow, it is posts like this that inspires me to keep going.. :)
i know about the sound problem, i think someting is wrong with my hardware detection rutines... (according to that java spec, midp 2.0 phones must support atleast 2 simultanious sounds)

if you find it anyoing, turn of either music or sfx in the settings menu.. ;)

but i am working on a fix for this problem..

uppy: i dont think the finished game needs to be much bigger than this.. (i have most of the sprites that i need) (and maps takes 100-300 bytes per room)
estimates for finished game about 350-400k...

You should read your whole first post and fix anything that's wrong, there are still quite a few old stuff you forgot to update :P

For example these:

"110k file" :P it's a bit bigger now :P
the best way to get it is probably to download it to your pc, and transfer it to the phone..
but you can also use the phone browser just type in the adress and the phone should start downloading, but there has been some small problems with that earlier.. (and that probaby costs a few cents.. 110k file..)

And this - it's released now :P
Demo 2 release: late may / early jun

How?

Oh and I bought a Motorola V360 yesterday. I get it on friday (my mum held it for bday ;)), It has Java support, and god knows how many features. Very nice phone. When I boot it up, I'll download your game :D

Edit: Yay, charging now. If java is as easy compared to C++ as people say, I might start some dev in it.

Crap! My phone is very capable of running it but I have to figure out how to use my super-crappy text-only web browser first. I don't have a USB cable for it :(

You should be able to type the address to the .jar file and avoid all the crap :)
