Portal

I played it, it's really fun XD. I got the first slice thing (which I am assuming has to do with the cake ::)) and it has the first 10 tests.

I like how you can shoot a portal into a wall and just keep running through it like you are chasing yourself. Anyways the idea was awesome and unique, I am definitely buying this!

You haven't already?  What the hell?!  Do it NOW!  All the cool kids are doing it...

On a more serious note, I didn't buy it until played the demo either.  Do it though, it's a definite buy.  It could have definitely been longer, but eh.

That's a good thing, but this is different.  Have you bought it yet?  Why not?!

I've never played it. I've known about it for a long time though, and have wanted to play it for just as long. It looks incredibly awesome.

I love Portal, Half-Life, Team Fortress 2...everything Valve is doing and has ever done is brilliant. They're probably the one company in the industry today that has never put out a sub-par product.

Portal is old news.

So just because something's old news means we can't discuss it?

Sorry guys, guess we can't talk about WWII.  Or 9/11.  Or Ocarina of Time.

Excellent logic Pyro.

The last 9 puzzles will frustrate you slightly, yet they're a lot more fun than the first 10. The game's great. My only problem with it is that it started to feel like HL2 halfway through chamber 19, instead of keeping its own unique feel it had. It fixes itself though.

Did I say you can't discuss it? Did I say the words "You cannot discuss this game any longer because it is old news."

Putting words in my mouth.

Excellent logic Dan.

You were insulting a user for talking about a relatively old game.  I'm just saying there's no need to be elitist about it.

Portal is an excellecent game. Valve took an awesome concept and brought it to life, complete with interesting puzzles and great humor. My main problem with the game is the length. I feel it's way too short. But at the same time, I know that it wouldn't quite work as a longer game either, because I felt the puzzles to be easy. I never felt like I was at a loss of exactly what I was to do in every situation, even in the final level (which I applaud for taking the concept and forcing the player to apply it to new situations). The learning curve of the game in a sense programs the player (or at least it programmed me) so that it doesn't even have to fully analyze a puzzle to know what to do. I see a large drop in the floor, I can easily assume that I'm going to need to use gravity to propell me across some distance.
