Short game endings?

I just played through Bioshock again over the last couple of days. After hours of playing the ending is so short (like 20 seconds?), its a really huge anti-climax. Its not the only game that does it either, they really bug me.

Could be worse. You could play all the way through a game, only to find out that even though you were once the galaxy's ultimate badass, you look like a complete !@#$% now, and would have been killed with minimum effort if the current you fought against the past you.

If the ending is short but good then it's okay, but when it's really short and a shitty ending like in Postal 2 for example then it bugs me.

To be fair, you only have two endings, it's just one of them is done with a slightly angrier voice. Also the way you get the endings sucks, kill so much as one little sister and you've !@#$% your chances of getting the good-guy ending.

I found Portal's ending kinda short though it's meant to be a short game.

I have to agree with you there, Infini. Bioshock was a masterpiece, but the ending really ruined it for me.

I think Brawl's single-player also had a short ending as well. Everything went back to normal so quickly and then off to the credits.
