Don't know if this is a bad thing,but I can tell it's a FFT edit or FFTA edit.Good job though...I could only give it a 6 or 7.
I've beat FFX 4 times so....I just am too hard on you I guess.
I don't know if it is an edit or not. But I can tell you that its at least FFTA style. FFT was much larger on the playstation.
In regards to the actual topic. I think this sprite is really good, weather it is an edit or original, either way it would still be good. The color pallet looks spot on, though I can't say for sure weather it is or not off hand besides the skin color is supposed to be simpson-yellow (I can see why you changed that though).
I wouldn't know unless I saved the image and zoomed in and compared it to real FFTA sprites weather it is too wide or not. But I don't think that truly matters. I think it looks great, and would fit into the game well.
You should make an entire FFX mock up shot in FFTA style, or else just throw Tidus into a screenie of the game. You should have posted 2x or 3x aswell as actual size, but oh well.
Overall I really like it, good job.
Edit: Alright I got to take a closer look at it, no the pixels are not too wide. In fact, they fit dead perfect. So it
is an edit. But it is a damn good one. You did a really good job man. Kind of inspires me to make some of my own. I like the sprite style, but I think it's a little too small for me. I am thinking something more along the lines of the little 2d sprites in the 'Sky Pirate's Den' on FFXII.
You should make some more characters in that style. Maybe Wakka or Auron? These would all look animated haha. Maybe I will try something in my spare time... Not sure though.
