Turns out that this game, MIDI Maze was ported to the Gameboy (monochrome) and could support 16 PLAYER battles.  :D  wonder if I can buy it online somewhere.
BTW, it was the ONLY Gameboy game to EVER take place in a FPS enviornment.
The game it was ported from is a candidate to be the first FPS ever..  Wow!

That looks more like Wolfenstein then Doom.
