While I still haven't watched this video, and I really can't make an opinion on this particular person (and no, I won't make an opinion simply by "lol shes emo, k"). But from some of the replies here she DOES sound quite retarded. Still, I must defend, because I believe there's some serious retarded anti-emo people around here.
First, I must make sure you know I'm not emo, pro-emo, anti-emo or anti-anti-emo or anything like it. I'm just saying how retard the whole emo-deal is (and I mean both emos and non-emos, but mostly BOTH emo-retards and anti-emo-retards).
This is from the ABC investigation topic some months ago:
Meh, seriously. A lot of you try to be so smart on this thing but you sound so retarded.
First of all. This so called "investigation" is complete bull-!@#$%. They tried to find just the rights person to show us so that they really could give the message they wanted. It's like they would try to find a couple of homosexuals that are murderers just to prove or even give the message that all homosexuals are murderers.
Seriously, you all that try to make fun of emo in any of its form are so !@#$% dumb. And no, I don't defend it because I consider myself emo (because I don't), I just find it very stupid to make so many damn generalizations about this thing. Fine, some persons that consider themselves emo cut themselves, but hey probably most don't. Also, who knows what is the hen and what is the egg? Maybe they cut wrists before and then adopted the emo lifestyle so to speak because they found a community there with people who have similar emotions/feelings about life or things in general (because it COULD be possible that many in that community does hurt themselves, I'm not saying there are none), or maybe they adopted the emo lifestyle very seriously and followed the "standard" "too much" (including the cut wrists part) because of a strife to be considered cool (honestly, it's mainly the same as buying lots of designer clothes to get the same effect). Plus, What is the hen for someone might be the egg for someone else and vice versa. BUT quite honestly I think most people that consider themselves emo (or don't but still are considered it by other people) do it because they find a community with similar people (omgosh, yes every person is different and unique, BUT that does not mean people can not have similarities). It's just like us zelda nerds find this community. Just in the case with emo the similarity/sharing/common in the community could be taste of music based on very strong emotions (rather than talent, lyrics, beats, popularity, innovation etc. etc.) or a similarity in the taste of clothing-style. Why would it be any different having music or clothing a common in a community instead of an interest or hobby?
i love you.
