Cusses in Quotes

Yeah, if someone quotes someone else, and the quote has a swear in it, and the person who posted the quote has a swear filter on, it'll stay filtered even if your filter is off.

I'm not saying that I need swears, just reporting....

... that's not a bug, it's the fact that when the reply/post with the quote is posted, the text sent is the filterred text (!@#$%), because the person quoting does not see WHAT the swear word is. Quoting in SMF has nothing to do with the original post with the exception of it drawing the text from how the user quoting the post sees the post, so the swear filter will continue to affect quotes like that :/

But if my friends and I gather, wear black robes, and say  "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn", we're considered cultists.

Yeah, it's not really a bug...

But in fact it doesn't make much difference. You already know that it's a bad word, and also you can always look up in the upper post to check it anyway.
