Annoying spam forum

Is there any way to make it so the posts from the spam forum don't show up in the recent posts box at the bottom of the page? It gets really annoying when you're looking for something to discuss other than spam that is recent.
I don't know if it bothers anyone else but it does me.

you could use that logic for any forum though; which would be simply annoying to program in and would possibly(?) be abused.
