Just got FFTA2

It plays quite well. I like how some jobs such as the Green Mage have to be unlocked via missions, and the Bazaar is a nice touch. The controls are great (and I'm not checking out the touch screen since I'm playing the ROM) and it's quite fun. The new Law system works great. Obey the law and win free items. Break it and KO'd party members stay that way until battle's end. I think it's a fair trade. It's fun, and the main character isn't the enemy! Tell me what you think. (Sol, I know you play this! REPLY!)

What do you mean the main character isn't the enemy? O_o The one from FFAT wasn't the enemy either... 0_=

Does it use the same ability gaining system from the first one? Where you equip an item and you learn that ability? I liked the system. :3

Yes. And I was referring to how in the first FFTA, the main character Marche wanted to go home while everyone else from St. Ivalice wanted to stay cuz their lives were better there. So he was an enemy of sorts. Oh, and about the Laws. You choose a Clan Privelige, which boosts stats for that battle, (my favorite is Power^3, which moderately boosts attack and defense) and if you break teh law, you lose that too. Also, Rogue Tomatoes!

Even though Marche was trying to find a way back home, Ivalice was just an escape world. It was not real. It was like dream world.

Would you rather live in a dream or in the real, flesh and blood world?

Also, in this one, the main character Luso Clemens is warped to the real Ivalice, as evidenced by the fact that he bumps into characters from FFXII, namely Vaan, Penelo, and Al-Cid Bher (I think that's his full name). Even characters from the "dream" Ivalice make appearances, like Ezel Berbier. So maybe the "dream" Ivalice wasn't a dream, it was St. Ivalice warped to Ivalice, and Ivalice consumed it with the power of the crystals. Destroy the crystals, Ivalice's hold on the town is released, and St. Ivalice reverts to its old self. So Ritz, Marche, and Mewt (the librarian from this one) were in a real Ivalice after all. Or maybe that one is like Roxas' Twilight Town in KH2?

Well... Maybe they were in a real Ivalice... But maybe some greater evil was using Mewt for some reason? Meh, who knows. It's late. Good night.

Anyways, you get titles that earn you more Clan Priveliges, and to do that you need to succeed in Clan Trials. Those cost Clan Points, or CP, as opposed to Gil. Also, you get a buttload more AP per mission than in FFTA.

My brother got the game yesterday (actually purchased). He loves it, praising it, I'm wondering, should I play it too? Oh, and is there ANY connection to the ORIGINAL (psx) Tactics? (any Mention at all??? Lion War, Larg? Golotana? Ramza?)
