Gengar was originally my favourite Pokemon, back in tha day. Serebii is obviously my current favourite.

Screw you! I've never called it Celebi. Serebii rolls off the tongue more easily. (In fact, it doesn't use the tongue at all; that's why it's easier to pronounce.) O:>

Blegh, english Gold and Silver is what turned me off of pokemon...

I owned the japanese Silver cart before it was translated, so on so forth... learned EVERY pokemon's name in japanese, and played the !@#$% outta that game... An issue of I think Game Informer had an interview with some of NoE's localization staff, and they said "This pokemon game will have almost all of the original japanese names! The only ones that will be different are the ones that are hard to pronounce"...

They !@#$% lied.

Hey, Mamoruanime, were you the person that had compiled a list of Pokemon base stats and if so do you have it?  Also, Gold and Silver were alright, it was kind of cool having night and day transitions.  It was funny too because my friend Zahnle had it running on an emulator in Japanese at his house when it came out.  It was a cool progression.

I loved Japanese Silver!

It was like walking out of Red/Blue land into some foreign Pokemon country. Good times.
