Switching to mac soon and was wondering what's available for mac game development.

I was looking at torque and it seems nice, just want to stick to a-rpgs like zelda lol but want to keep it easy like game maker, xna was just a huger step than I could handle atm so I'll move little to litter.

Is torque 2d any good?

Unity

Though if you want to keep it easy like Game Maker and just want to make 2D games like Zelda (and especially assuming your budget is around Game Maker range) this is probably overkill.

If by "there are busy" you mean "they announced it a year ago and are never going to get around to it", then yes. ;P

Don't forget that you can easily virtualize or dual boot Windows on your Mac (I personally dual boot so I can play Steam games), in case there's no solution that works for you.

Well C is portable enough.  There's a lot of libraries that make creating games easier, too.

No real reason to use C nowadays. In C++ you can ignore the OOP until you're ready to learn it anyway :P
