Here's a pic of just something I threw together with my tiles and palette.

As you can see, the colors blend together way too easily which hides the outlines and whatnot.
I'm about 99% sure that this is close to how the colors were on one of the gameboys(I also know about the greenscale too but I like this one better).

If I remember correctly, the backgrounds/tiles on the original GB could use 4 scales of one color while sprites usually used only 3.

I just need help on how to make it fit together correctly and not have everything blend in.

Welllll... are you trying to mimic the original GB, or the GBC-ified version? REMEMBER: There are only four colors MAX on the original GB, but GBC-recolored sprites have two sets of colors: one for the background (layer 1) and one for the character and item (layer 2) sprites. Maybe that should help you there.

I was talking to my friend last night, and he was mentioning about how in 1980, he thought the internet would become this amazing place where people from across the world would share ideas. I was telling him about how this project [KOT] has worked, lurching along for years and drawn by different people from across the globe, and he thought it was beautiful. And he was right, it's awesome. :D

No, the original GB look is what I am going for.
That pic above has only 4 colors.
It doesn't matter anymore as I was recently on my emulator and Link blends in sometimes so meh :/

that picture isn't the natural GB resolution, and it looks like it was copied out of another program, so it's aliased. There are 3 "shades" and then "Black" the aliasing in that picture makes everything blend together so it has like 100+. Your best bet is to use a less "professional" program since certain image editing programs squetch images when you ctrl+c them.

Not 100% sure, but that's just what it looks like from my stand-point.
