I was wondering if it was possible to make a map editor (tiling editor like World Artist) in VB. Should I make a map editor in a different language? which?

Would you have any examples I can learn off of?

Yes it is very possible to make a map editor with VB. Although I don't know of any examples because I don't really work with it.

I saw an example of a simple editor for c#:
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/game/mapeditor.aspx

It could be a start.

Well you could do that. Or you could just, you know, not disgrace yourself by using VB :D. Horrible language.

Anyhow if you want an example, try looking at WA's source? Fusion's source? Mappy's source? Most available map editors are open source :P

XD I didn't want to spend tooo much time... but if it is really recommended that I don't use VB, then I would fall back onto Blitzmax, which I know little to none in...

What language are you knowledgeable in? Is it VB? While I too dislike it, if you know much about it, give it a go. It is pretty much made for application development. Or so I've heard.

I'm not really knowledgeable in ONE language. I just know some of this, a bit of that, etc. I chose VB because it is dirt easy.
